. . . . . . . . .

"Someone has got to ask you out, y/n! You wont be alone forever, girl." Says her best friend, holding about 20 different candy bars from 20 different guys. "Yeah, you're one to talk, f/n," f/n shrugs, she knows whats coming ahead. "...you got gifts from both Greasers and Socs, and I can't even get any from anybody." She pouts, crossing her arms.

"y/n, that still doesn't mean you're not going to get any boys chasing after you!" She said, giggling happily, "Well, at least one day you will--just, wait. You'll meet the one!" f/n stuffed the chocolate into her purse, and some into her backpack, watching as y/n didn't have anything to put inside her backpack, only a few measly notebooks, and maybe even a pencil case. But no gifts from horny, uncivilized Greasers or Socs...just, her stuff. Her stuff that she's had every day. The stuff she had last year Valentines day, and the year before that. since the day she was born, she hasn't even thought of the word 'love'.

they continued to walk out of school, shuffling past squealing girls getting asked out, and some people making out in the middle of the hallway, which made f/n cringe for y/n. "But, right now I'm newly 17 and I finally want to know who I'm going to be with for the rest of my life, I'm ready, f/n."

"Are you sure you're ready though, y/n?" She asked, openeing the doors for her, "What do you mean? I know i'm ready, especially since I've never been in any relationships." She fixed the strap from her backpack over her shoulder, looking at the concrete below.

f/n sighed, eating a piece of chocolate. "Well, that's the thing-you haven't been in any relationships!" They waited for their ride, which was going to be f/n's older sister, but she took forever- they wouldn't expect her to be there in 30 minutes or less. "..You don't know how everything works. You need to know before settling down, girl." She said, but apparently this hit a spot in our poor y/n, her eyes and nose got a tingling feeling, she just hated being alone. And she was tired of it, but she knew..she probably couldn't do much about it.

She assumed the worst for her life, and she was already living that horrid crisis.

"Ha." She wiped a tear that unknowingly built up in her eye, "Right, sorry for even thinking I could be with someone, f/n, gosh." She laughed, covering her face up with her light peach colored turtleneck, hiding it from f/n. "I'm just done talking about this, oh my goodness."

"Honey! Honey!" f/n was shocked, and immediately tried calming her down and rubbed her shoulders, "Stop your crying, everything will be amazing for you, one day! I promise, it will come soon, I can feel it." Some people were yelling in the backround, but the two girls didn't mind, so they continued standing.

y/n wasn't really pleased, though. "you can feel it? What the fuck is that even supposed to mean-?" Suddenly, the kids around them froze, "What the..?" f/n looked around to see everybody look a boy who frantically slammed the doors open with a backpack in his hand. "Wait.." f/n says, "He doesn't even go to our school...is that Steve Randle?" y/n looked at the boy, too, with everyone else focusing their attention on him, kinda freaked. "Oh my gosh it's Steve Randle, he's so hot to be honest." y/n hit f/n in the ribs, making her giggle.

"Where the fuck is she?" The lunatic boy shook a poor Soc girl he was standing by, who fell down confused, "Where the fuck is she? Tell me you dumbass Socs!" He shook another Soc, looking around the area frantically. "Who the hell is he looking for?" Asked f/n, making y/n shrug. "Ah—well."

"You!" He points in y/n and f/n's direction, everybody now looks at them, some Soc girls and boys were covering their mouths, shocked. But, y/n chose to be ignorant, and look at the ground as if she didn't want the best out of said "situation."

"y/n why is he looking at you?" F/n said, grabbing y/n's sleeve anxiously, "girl I'm scared, that's Steve Randle!" She shakes her more, almost as if she was terrified. I mean, it's Steve, it's not anyone special—but it isn't anyone sweet either.

y/n laughs, "Probably for you, again f/n." She chuckles, pushing f/n gently off of her arm, looking at the floor. "Like for the 21st time today-"

"y/n! Dumb bitch!" She looks up, seeing Steve almost running over like a mad murderer or something, "Huh?" She asks, still very naive to this situation.

She then feels roses pushed against her chest, hunched up in a bag as a tiny note it against it, "OMG." f/n whispers, backing up once Steve gave her a threatening look into what looks like a bush, she fell back, scared.

"uh, Steve?" She looks up at him, his eyebrows furrowed, his mouth was closed, but his nostrils were slightly flaring from the running. "What are these for?" She asks, looking back and forth at the flowers and Steve's face.

y/n you stupid bitch.

"How dumb can you be? They are for you." He said, grabbing her shoulders harshly, "I wanted to tell you that I.."

"That you what?" She asks.

"Oh my-"

He slammed his lips against hers, catching her off guard, but she immediately kissed him back, feeling his face with her free hand, then holding the flowers with the other one. She was in shock, but for the moment. She would appreciate it.

"You fucking beautiful dummy."
