THE SERVICE ENDED AFTER AN HOUR, and everyone was invited back to the Hawthorne family home for a catered lunch. If you're wondering how the Hawthornes could possibly fit 400 people in their home, you've obviously never seen their house. A house is actually just putting it politely. It was the Buckingham Palace of Josephine Hills.

The boys all drove up in Michael's car since it was the biggest, and the drive took at least 20 minutes to get up the hill, even longer now that the whole town was going. They needed the drive to be as spacious and comfortable as possible. They were all on edge, feeling emotions they had never felt before or ever thought they would be feeling.

Luke was the first to break the silence; no one had bothered to switch the car radio on and the only sounds that could be heard were the other cars on the road and the rain falling down onto the car. Michael turned his wipers on, grimacing out the window at the downpour. He didn't remember seeing rain being forecasted on the weather report that morning.

"So, those were the famous Hawthorne siblings that everyone always goes on about?"

His question went unanswered. Each boy looked out of his window, each feeling something different. Michael was confused; yes—Theo had looked at him, but that didn't mean that he forgave the pink haired boy. He needed to talk to Theo, find out if he told anyone what he had discovered. Michael touched his jaw, remembering the sting and bruise Theo had left when he punched him.

Ashton sat in the passenger seat, suddenly finding his untied shoelace very interesting. He bent over in his seat to tie it, his seatbelt restricting his movements slightly. He couldn't believe he saw Isabella, how beautiful she had gotten since the last day that he had seen her. Sure, she was always gorgeous, but something about how she had aged really got to Ashton. He wanted to talk to her, apologize to her over and over again. But he also wanted her lips on his, her hands in his hair and his down her skirt. He then remembered he had a girlfriend and didn't see her at the service. He should text her.

Calum was next to Luke, bouncing his leg up and down as he sat impatiently in the traffic. He chewed on his bottom lip as he stared out of the window, watching as they drove past the pine trees, slowly one by one they disappeared behind the car. Maya was all grown up, she was an adult and she was breath-taking. Calum still felt nauseous at the thought of finding his baby sister's best friend attractive. She was 4 years younger than him, and for Christ sakes; she was still in high school. What was wrong with him? The urge to talk to her for hours dawned on him, and he wanted to slap himself.
