𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞

AMELIA walked toward the gate of her flight, opportunity flowed through her veins, anxiety knotted her stomach, and joy made her lips curl upwards.

She took a step onto the plane checking the time 11:50 am the flight would take off at 12:20 am and she'd arrived in Charleston at 12:13 pm. She made herself as comfortable as she could and pulled her tray out sitting her laptop on top.

Amelia was a journalist at heart that's what she had gone to school for and what she'd always wanted to be. Acting came as a surprise when she was cast in a small indie movie as the main character which jump-started her acting career. She had appeared in Anne with an E, The Society, and many other projects. When she first watched Outer Banks she fell in love with the plot immediately quickly reaching out to her agent telling her to find out any information for season 2. Millie quickly got in touch with Jonas who absolutely fell in love with Millie's demeanor and the next thing she knew she was doing a chemistry read with Rudy.

{𝚏𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚑𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 1 𝚖𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚑 𝚊𝚐𝚘}

Amelia walked into the room as she was called in. Her eyes were met by a muscular blond who was sat in a chair next to Jonas. She sent him a small smile as her cheeks grew rosy.

"Amelia, nice to see you again, this is Rudy he plays JJ," Jonas said as the boy stood from his seat and shook the girls hand softly.

"Hi, nice to meet you, Rudy," Millie said quietly, she needed to get it together she'd have to act with him in just a minute.

"You as well," he said with a smirk still not letting go of her hand, it felt comfortable.

They both quickly noticed that the handshake had lasted an uncomfortably long time.

"Alright so Millie you play JJ's love interest for season 2 and this is the scene where the two of you meet. You've just moved from across the country and you notice the memorial for John B and Sarah and you can't help but let curiosity get to you." Jonas explained.

Amelia nodded, looking toward Rudy as a smile grew across his face. She could easily get so lost in his eyes but she needed to focus. 'Get it together' she told herself inside of her mind.

"Alright action!" Jonas said grabbing the script in front of him.

"Can I help you?" Rudy said his voice slightly breaking as he looked curiously at the girl.

"Hi. God, I'm sorry. I'm new and I was passing through. I tend to take in my surroundings too much and now I'm rambling." Amelia said looking at the floor slightly giggling letting fake embarrassment take over.

"It's okay. I'm JJ." Rudy said as he looked at the girl softly smiling at her.

"Sloane," Amelia said smiling back at him. She analyzed his appearance like she was doing it for the first time, pretending to notice his eye "are you okay?" she said pointing between her eye and his.

"Oh this?" Rudy asked as he blew air from his lips "That's nothing, I tend to not be the best at keeping my hands to myself" he continued looking between her eyes and the floor.

"Come on! That's like the first rule of preschool. 'keep your hands to yourself'" she exclaimed, a giggle escaping from her lips.

Rudy checked her out like the script said and he didn't mind. The girl in front of him was quite a few inches shorter than her. Amelia was tan and freckled beautifully her eyes were a crystallized blue green and her hair was naturally wavy he could tell she wasn't wearing much makeup and he loved that about her. He got a little lost as his eyes searched her body. Amelia cleared her throat and did the same to the man in front of her.

"You said you were new?" Rudy said bringing the dialogue back and ending the silence between the two.

"Yeah. I-I just moved her from California. Little different over here compared to there." Amelia said giggling awkwardly at Rudy.

"You're from california? I've always wanted to surf there. is it awesome? Do the swells get huge? Is it always just surf war in the mornings?" Rudy said excitement filling his voice. Amelia giggled at the boy. "Sorry" Rudy whispered now adding embarrassment.

"Yes It is awesome. But I guess you'll just have to come to california to see what it's like to surf." Amelia said flirting very easily with the boy. "Uh- I should probably get going, ya know still have to unpack." she said smiling at him.

"Right" he responded as he cleared his throat. "Well it was nice to meet you Ms. Sloane." Rudy finished his sentence with a british accent.

"You as well kind sir" she said mimicking his accent curtsying towards him.

As the two finished the scene they chuckled softly with each other turning towards Jonas who had a smile plastered across his face.

"Wow, Um. That was amazing. We'll call you Amelia."
"Thank you so much Jonas!" Amelia said walking out slowly.

Inside of the room Jonas shot Rudy a look.

"What?"

"You like her" Jonas said mocking the boy like a kid.

"What the hell? I just met her." Rudy said.

"You looked at her like you were already in love with her." Jonas said making a face at the boy.

Rudy rolled his eyes walking out of the room thinking about what Jonas had said. He saw the girl sitting on the bench and walked towards her.

"You're an amazing actress." Rudy said looking at the girl.

"Ah thank you! I was very nervous I love this part." Amelia said flustered by his appearance.

"Seriously you might take my part" he said laughing at the girl."

"Nooo no one can beat the original JJ Maybank." Millie said giggling.

They laughed along with each other talking slightly while she waited for her uber. As she left the building she couldn't help but smile thinking about him. As soon as she got in the car she looked up the boy's instagram and followed. She knew it probably was too soon but she was channeling her inner teenager.
