wooyoung's house

when the three arrived home, yunho let san know he was gonna head off as wooyoung was nowhere near sober enough to speak to.

"wooyoung has my number, please let me know how he's doing"

"I will" san replied.

yunho would always be there for you wooyoung but sometimes he found it difficult to know what to say. wooyoung would be much better off with someone who knew about this kind of stuff, he thought.

after yunho left, san turned to face wooyoung's form which was curled into a ball on the couch. he sighed at the sight and suddenly felt the pressure of being left alone to care for wooyoung. yunho must think he seemed like a pretty trustworthy person to leave him alone in wooyoung's house.

"wooyoung?" he tried, "woo, do you wanna go up to bed?"

wooyoung simply moaned and hid his head into one of the cushions. san sat next to him and tried to think of what he should do. he couldn't leave him alone in this state, but yunho didn't know what to do either. and there was no one else.

san thought about how hard it must be to only have one person to rely on. he really wanted wooyoung to be able to rely on him but he was conscious that wooyoung didn't exactly know him very well. then wooyoung's voice broke san's train of thought.

"you should have just left me on the bench" he mumbled.

"well I definitely wasn't going to do that" san chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"I wish you had" wooyoung slurred. "but I'm glad I get to... to see your... face"

san felt himself blush slightly at that but felt wrong for having these feelings about wooyoung when he was in such a vulnerable state.

"wooyoung, come on. we're going up to bed. you need to sleep this off"

"don't leave me!" wooyoung moaned.

"I won't leave. I'll be right down here... urm, if you'll let me stay to keep an eye on you"

wooyoung ignored this. "let's go upstairs then" he simply said.

but as he got up, san realised it wouldn't be quite that easy. "woah woah woah" he cautioned as wooyoung nearly fell into the table. "here, let me help you"

san pulled wooyoung's arm across his shoulder to stabilize him as he helped him into his bedroom. as soon as they reached it, wooyoung crawled into bed and under the covers. san perched on the edge and made sure wooyoung had the covers firmly around him.

"okay, I'll be right downstairs"

"no! stay!" wooyoung pouted.

"I can't stay in your bedroom with you, wooyoung. it's not appropriate"

"then don't be my therapist anymore, san. just be my friend"

san felt a pang of hurt when wooyoung used the word friend, but sighed defeatedly. "okay, I'll be your friend. but it still isn't really appropriate for me to stay in here with you"

"I don't care" wooyoung protested, "please, sannie... I'm so lonely"

san felt his heart flip at the use of the nickname.

"I know I'm a child-killer and all but really..." he trailed off slightly but then continued, "I'm not so bad"

"woo, you're not bad at all. and don't call yourself that. changbin's boyfriend was wrong to put that on there"

wooyoung moved over and indicated for san to come and sit beside him, which he did, if not hesitantly.

"tell me about you" wooyoung said out of nowhere. "I don't know anything about you and you know everything about me. do you have a girlfriend?"

san chuckled, "wooyoung, you must be able to tell I'm gay?"

"do you have a boyfriend then?"

"well, no. I don't. I've been single since I was twenty one, I'm twenty five now"

"tell me more about you" wooyoung pressed, still slurring his words slightly.

"there's not much to tell. I graduated university four years ago with a degree in psychology and decided to work for myself as a therapist"

"your family?"

"they live out of the city, like yours"

"friends?"

"well I never really made any after I moved here for work. I have friends back home"

"so we're both lonely" wooyoung concluded.

san laughed dryly; "I suppose we are"

after a short pause, wooyoung moved over to san's side of the bed and rested his head on san's chest. "will you sleep with me tonight?" wooyoung asked. "I can't be alone"

"yes wooyoung. but I can't be your therapist anymore after this, I hope you understand"

wooyoung just hummed a reply and nestled more into san's chest.

as san peered down at the boy he truly felt like he never wanted to leave his side. he wanted to protect him with everything he had from now on. and most importantly, he wanted to see him happy.

-----

the next morning

when wooyoung awoke the next morning he felt an immense pain in his head - but was also surprised to find san laid next to him with his arm wrapped around the smaller's body. it was a pleasant surprise, nevertheless.

"morning, woo" san whispered. wooyoung felt his heart flutter at san's voice. they may only be friends, but wooyoung felt like he could get used to waking up in san's embrace. "how are you feeling this morning?" he continued.

"sick" croaked wooyoung.

"well I cancelled all my appointments today so I'm going to take care of you"

"san!" wooyoung scolded, "you shouldn't have done that"

"I don't care, you're my priority today. also, I had an idea..." san began, "if you're feeling well enough later on, there's somewhere I want to take you"

"I think I need to be sick first" wooyoung announced as he shot up from under the covers and ran towards the bathroom.

after a few minutes he emerged looking as bad as he probably felt. "how much did I drink, sannie?"

san felt a shiver run through him again at the sound of the nickname from wooyoung. "I'm not sure, woo. but come here" he pulled back the cover and motioned for wooyoung to lay back on his chest, "I'm gonna make it better"

"I'm gonna make everything better"
