My head pounds and I lean forward, memories from earlier flash through my mind like a kite. I groan as I lean upwards my back pulling making a jolt of pain shoot through my body. Finn sits legs crossed next to me and Peeta lays back on the ground with Katniss hanging over him smiling and occasionally kissing him.
"What the hell happened" I croak out breathless Finnick turns I smile tugs on his face,
"God dammit i thought you where dead, Liv" He moves so that he can help me stand I give him a confused face and he points over towards Peeta.
"Hit forcefeild, the outer rim of the arena and it threw you and him backwards" I nod and start walking towards Katniss,
"We should probably keep moving, see if we can find fresh water" I stumble to keep my balance and she nods pulling Peeta to his feet and hugging him tightly before moving forward. I walk right by Finn, he claims he wants to be close to me just in case, we fall towards the back.
"I thought the whole in love thing was an act, but seeing that makes me see it differently" he whispers trudging along,
"Love is weird" He gives me a smirk and grabs my hand rubbing circles on the back of it. Times like this almost make me forget the terrible world we live in, and the pain we have been through. Almost.
....
My throught closes up and I feel if we go any farther I might collapse. All my mind sees is water and I can tell by the way Finnick clenches into my arm he feels it too. I almost think of giving up, but I know im here for a reason and I cant just give up.
"Do you guys see that?" Peeta points into the trees and I almost think he is seeing things but sure enough a silver container on a parachute comes flying down towards us. I pray its water but who knows. Katniss reaches it first opening the container and digging into it, I hear her mumble something and pick up a silver piece of metal. Defiantly not water.
"I think its a Spile" Katniss runs to a tree and grabs a rock crashing it into the metal object over and over until its lodged into the tree. She sits at the base of the tree, mouth open as if at any moment water would fall from it.
When water starts to fall from the tree I almost laugh thinking im going crazy but when the others start to drink from it im right up there trying to keep as much water in my mouth as I can. The water eases down my throught making me sigh in relief before being pushed to the side so that the others get a turn.
"Its getting dark we should get some rest, ill take first watch" This gets a laugh from Katniss
"Yeah, Like im going to let you take first watch, ill take it" Finn slams his trident into the soft soil
"Honey, that thing I did back there for Peeta it was called saving his life" I turn my head confused, saved his life. I let it go and decide to make piece
"If you guys are going to be like that me and Peeta could use rest just both of you watch." They both nod but dont let the glare fall from their faces. I motion for Finn to follow me and I sit down back against a tree,
"You should get some sleep too, wake me up after a while" He nods and I lay my head on his chest. For once I dont have any nightmares.
