I blood curtailing scream shoots through my skull,
"The fog, the fog its poison" I try to stand but im half asleep, I feel myself being lifted and start to move. Once I regain myself I hear another scream this one coming from Peeta he screams in agony it makes me regret this. Finncik is right by my side and soon the fog is right on our tails.
"Ahuhhuhhh" Pain fills my mind and I cant feel my legs, I drop to the ground trying to drag myself away from the fog pulling and tugging on the ground. Katniss has Peeta slung over her shoulder trying her hardest to pull him along. Finnick cries out in pain and falls to the ground, We both lay there knowing its over, it has to be.
"Im sorry" I speak in a wisper pulling Finn towards me and hearing Katniss give out, the fog nears.
"Love, there is nothing to be sorry for" I give a small smile and wince at the pain that fills me
"I love you" I look at him speechless and before I can respond the fog is at my feet. I let in a deep breath waiting for the fog to hit, but it never does. Instead it goes up as if a glass wall is sitting between us.
I hear Peeta let out a scream,
"the water it helps" Katniss screams helping me drag Finnick into the water washing him off and getting rid of all the blisters. I collapse to the ground pulling my knees to my face and letting out a sob.
To hell with this.
....
I let the water fall down my mouth before letting Katniss take her turn and then Finn and Peeta. I walk back over to the pond standing in it to cool my feet off an Finnick comes to stand by me,
"Soo" He rocks on his feet nervously and I let out a sigh pointing towards Peeta and Katniss,
"Not here" He seems to know what I mean before turning and his eyes go wide, katniss does the same telling Peeta to slowly walk over towards us. Finn pulls me behind him grabbing his trident. Then I notice the giant monkeys hanging over us ready to attack. Their teeth show and they start to move as if checking us out.
"The beach" Before I know it Finnick has his spear driven into a monkey and Katniss is shooting arrows. I grab my trident throwing it and taking off towards the beach, a monkey pounces towards me only to fall right at my feet. I look up to see Peeta holding a machete and I cant help but wonder how someone so pure could be in the games.
"Liv, cmon" Finn drags me towards the beach with katniss up front and Peeta and me in the back. A low growling sound fills the air and a woman screams, I dont recognize it but Peeta starts panicking pulling the woman who just saved him from a monkey towards the beach and into the water.
Finnick and I keep our tridents help out for the monkeys to stay away, eventually they do and the last thing I hear is a hovercraft coming to pick up the body.
"Who was that"
"A Morphling, I didnt even know her name. She saved my life" Peeta kicks at the sand silent
"She saved you?"
"Looked like it"
"Why" Finn and I make eye contact and break it trying not to be suspicious
"I dont know maybe because that baby of yours needs a father" I laugh knowing thats all fake. Finnick starts sprinting towards the beach and into the treeline and Im close after,
"Jo!?"
