"What the actual fuck!?" Justin exclaimed.
In normal days, I would have scolded him for swearing but today was not the day. It was really fitting right now in our situation.
A white vortex laid exactly on the middle of my bedroom. It was dimly illuminating the room. It rippled and swirled around, it's absoluty stunning to see.
Both Justin and I stared at it for the longest time. Neither do not know what to say to each other. I rubbed my eyes and blinked a few more times to make sure it was real and it was.
"I-It's the same thing I saw when Ace first appeared here..." I stuttered as I found my voice to speak.
Slowly, Justin stood up and went to inspect it. Curiousity was obvious on his feature. His footsteps was steady as he encircled the vortex.
Unexpectedly, he tried to put his arms in.
"Hey don't—!" I scolded.
He just passed through it. He didn't enter or anything.
Justin and I looked at each other. We both mimicked one another's shock expression. Every part of me paused as my thoughts tried to catch up. I realized I wasn't breathing. I was totally stunned.
"A-Ace... Go call Ace!" I ordered to my brother.
He looked so unsure as he stared at me. He gulped before slowly nodding. He went out of my room running to get Ace.
After a few seconds which seemed to be one of the longest time of my life, Justin came back in my room with Ace in tow. Justin was dripping in sweat as he panted. It's not just from tiredness but also from shock about how things turned out to be.
"That portal..." Ace's eyes were wide as he stared at it.
"It appeared after I finally put my signature on this drawing." I explained while showing him the drawing.
"Why haven't we think of that..." Justin muttered.
Ace scrambled on his feet as he approached the vortex. He was hesitating. Just like my brother earlier, he reached out and put his hands in.
The only difference was, his hands went in. Justin's didn't.
He slowly pull it away. Sighing, he look back to the two of us. We were all unsure on what to do.
It only mean one thing,
He's going back on his world.
I breathed out and quickly get a hold of myself. "Quick change your clothes into the one you'd arrive in. We don't know how long it'll be open.
Ace immediately nodded and he went out to go back in his room to change. We silently followed him and waited outside of his room to give him privacy.
"He's leaving...?" Justin asked in monotone.
I want to avoid this conversation as possible but there's no way my brother would.
"Jus, we both know this'll happen." I said, sadly.
In an instant, the door opened revealing Ace. He was back to his original clothing. He was shirtless revealing his two tattoos. One was Whitebeard's mark on his back and the other was his name with a crossed out s in his left arm. He was wearing his black shorts with two belts on and a silver buckle. His signature orange cowboy hat was in his head as always since he never really removed it even in this world.
"Is this a goodbye...?" Justin mumbled with a broken voice. He was on the verge of crying. "B-But it was to quick! I haven't really process it!"
Ace sighed and quickly patted his back. "Don't cry, kiddo."
