CHAPTER TWENTY ONE,

"are you tired?" vinnie asked zara who's head was rested on his chest as she scrolled through tiktok aimlessly.
it was almost 6pm and the pair had spend majority of their day just inside together which wasn't exactly vinnies plan, but as usual he got side tracked. although it was late he figured he could at least get out part of his plan into action.
"depends on what the purpose of you asking is" zara replied as she set her phone down. vinnie looked down at her unimpressed by her take on comedy which caused her to groan. "okay i'm not tiredd" she replied
"good because we're going out" vinnie stated as he hopped out of the bed. zara looked at him as if he was crazy. "just like that? no heads up or anything? no preparation?"
"nope" vinnie gave her a charming smile as he slipped on a white quarter zip sweatshirt to pair with his gray sweat shorts. zara shouldn't help but return a smile as she leaned back on her palms.
"meet me outside in 30 i have a surprise for you" vinnie pulled a white baseball cap over his full head of messy curls before leaving the room, a smile still plastered on his face.
zara bit the inside of her lip, as she started to feel a rush of excitement and well curiosity. she hopped off her bed and headed into her walk in closet to find something to wear.

"you're the goat" vinnie thanked troy as he took the little pup from his hands. troy smiled, "i was in the area so i was like might as well save you sometime"
"appreciate it brudda" vinnie held the small animal in one hand as he put his other out for troy to dap up. "no problem" troy replied while returning the gesture.
"you have everything right?" troy asked as he ran his hand through his hair. vinnie hummed a yes while scratching behind the puppy's ear, "i got it all earlier this week"
troy nodded, "alright well i gotta bounce estella wants me to come over tonight". vinnie smirked, "what for?"
the brunette shrugged, "something about recreating a boat scene?" vinnie raised his eyebrow in pure confusion, "boat scene?"
"i don't fucking know man i guess we'll just have to see"
"okay... well i'll see you around g" vinnie responded as troy backed away to his car, putting his hand up as a sign of departure.
zara quickly stumbled down the stairs, as she tried pulling on her air forces while rushing to the door. she didn't think fixing her wig would take as long as it did and she wanted to prove to vinnie that it doesn't take her a century to get ready.
"finally you're ready" vinnie playfully teased as zara flew through the front door, out of breathe. "shut up" she sassed while trying to control her breathing, "it takes a while to look this good"
"well you also look good when you just wake up in the morning and that obviously takes zero effort" the tall boy chuckled before placing a kiss on zara's forehead, making her blush.
"ready for your suprised?" he asked leading the brownskin to nod vigorously.
vinnie smiled as he headed into his car, pulling out a big gift box. he was lucky his brother dropped the keys off for him so he was able to sneak his car back while his parents were at work.
