Mom called at almost 12.
She had urgent news.
I almost immediately packed and left.
Poor Grover, who I felt so bad for, staying here alone.
But me and Annabeth had to go.
On the car ride to home, she asked what was wrong.
"Moms pregnant."
She gaped.
"But- how?"
"Do I really need to explain?"
"No!" she practically shouted.
"Good." I sigh, relieved.
"Do you even know?" she asked.
"Sure. As I watched on YouTube, Peppa says that when a mommy pig and a-"
"You watch Peppa pig still?" she asked.
"Well..."
"Percy, you psycho Seaweed brain!" she said.
I laughed.
When we got to the house, Mom and Paul were sitting on the couch.
"Mom!" I exclaimed.
"Oh, Percy!" she smiled.
"Mom, would you and Annabeth mind going to make blue cookies?" I asked her, looking directly at Paul.
"Uh, sure honey!"
Annabeth and Mom went to the kitchen.
I looked at Paul.
"Sooo... I'm assuming you're the dad?"
"Uh, yes, we believe so. Who else is there?"
"You guys aren't even married!"
"Your mom and dad weren't married when they had you." he pointed out.
Oof, good one.
"Anyways, Percy, I was going to ask her to marry me. But, you were never home and-"
"Why do you need me?"
"To ask for your permission. Well, not really ask but, you know, ask for your opinion." he said.
"Paul," I started. "Do you love my mom?"
"With all my heart."
"Then marry her. Take care of her next year. Her and your child. Besides, every kid deserves a father to grow up with. Who am I to take that away from this baby?"
Paul nodded.
"So, how long until the baby is due?"
"Well, they say the baby is 3 months old now. Sally has known for a while but went to the doctor only today."
"Do you know what gender?"
"Not yet. But if it's a girl, it's going to be Estelle-"
"After my grandma."
He nodded.
"And a boy after you grandfather, Jim."
I nodded.
"Well, I give you my blessing." I smile.
"Like I said, it's not really a blessing-"
"Say one more word until you propose and I am going to not let you marry her."
He closed his mouth and nodded.
"Mom, me and Annabeth got the cookies, come here real quick!" I shouted.
Paul looked nervous.
Mom came in.
"Paul needs to talk to you." I said, then left.
"Cookies are in the oven." Annabeth said.
"Good, come here!" I say quietly, then pull her towards the doorway and out of sight.
"Yes, Paul?" she asked nervously.
"Sally Jackson, I love you so much. This child of ours deserves a father and a mother, two lovers that will stay together forever. I believe those two lovers are us."
He got down on one knee, pulled out a box, and smiled up at Mom, who was near tears. He opened the box.
"Without further ado, Sally Jackson, will you marry me?"
There was a quiet silence where mom cried quietly.
"Yes!" she said happily.
Paul slid the ring on moms finger and stood up.
They kissed and hugged and kissed some more.
"Aww!" Annabeth said. They both looked.
"ANNABETH!" I say.
"Sorry, it was too cute!" she blushed.
"Too cute? You've never said aww to me!" I say, acting offended.
"Well, you've never proposed to me!" she said, holding back laughter.
"Well, propose to this!" I said, which made no sense.
I kissed Annabeth.
"Get a room!" mom said.

"Excuse me?" I asked her.

"Get a room, sassy pants. And don't sass me!" she says.

"You-"

"Get. A. Room." she says.

I trudge upstairs to Annabeths room while Annabeth laughs behind me.

"I can see a future of us." she says.

"You're a visionary." I say. She laughs.

Then, she kisses me, and I kiss back.

It was the perfect Percabeth moment ever.

Did I just say that in a third person POV?
