"I hope there'll be no surprises anymore," Deadpool yawned loudly, "I usually love surprises, especially when it came with a bunch of asses to smack, but for now I love my bed more."
"This is the first time I hate vacationing on an island," Peter added.
"It's not exactly a vacation, but yeah," I agreed, "At least I got something out of it."
"You come to like the necklace?" Peter's face lit.
"I never hate it. I just thought it's a bit wasteful on your part," I shrugged, "Please don't buy me costly things like this again."
"Hmm. Then what do you want me to give you?"
"Carrying me like this every day would be nice," I requested, "Kidding! I don't want anything in particular."
"I won't mind doing what you asked," he replied.
"I wish I could carry you around too," I mumbled, "But I don't think it's a good idea."
"I mean if you can lift fifteen people around, why not?" Peter joked.
"Well, true," I giggled.
"The ship's here!" Deadpool exclaimed.
"Finally! We can go home!" I turned to him, "Uh, Peter?"
Peter didn't respond. He was looking at the sky, standing up slowly. I followed his gaze and saw a giant aircraft overshadow the island.
"Is the massive thing also Mr. Stark's?" Peter asked.
"Why would he send something large like that?" I questioned what Peter was thinking.
"Oh, fuck no! Who is it now?" Deadpool became annoyed.
His question was soon answered when some robots, dozens of them, were ejected from the aircraft. The robots were headed to where the HQ is located. We quickly knew it was sent by Trask. I had a bad feeling something would go wrong for the mutants there. I tried to get on my feet. I walked a few steps and landed on my butt seconds after.
"What are you doing?" Peter approached me.
"I need to go there," I said to him, "The X-Men and BoM are in trouble."
"You got to be joking!" Deadpool became frustrated, "If those powerful ass people can't handle them, don't you think we'd be crushed instantly? This is our only means to home, kid."
"He's right," Peter agreed.
I was surprised he didn't support me on this.
"Those people are way above us. They could handle it fine without us helping," Peter tried to change my mind, "Why don't we load these soldiers to the ship and let the adults handle it? Mr. Vision and Mr. Stark had helped us clear our names. I'm afraid we'll make it worse if we decided to butt into this."
I didn't reply to what he was saying. I kept on looking at the tall HQ tower.
"Listen, I understand you wanted to help badly, but you've done a lot today. More than a lot. You deserve a rest, Aoi," Peter stooped low to level my eye, "They are much more experienced in battles than us. I'm sure they'll be fine. We don't have to be involved anymore. And we don't have to be guilty at staying out of it."
"You are right. I'm sorry for being stubborn," I finally made up my mind, "Let's get these men to the boat and go home."
The warship arrived at the shore with Tony getting off from it. He talked to Wanda and Vision first, probably about the situation. I couldn't hear them from where I sat, but from their gesture, I knew they were talking about the aircraft and the robots. Tony proceeded to make a call to someone. It seemed he had contacted someone with more authority about Trask and his armies. He then turned his attention at me. He requested the agents to help me get onto the ship. One of the men carried me up. A few of them lifted the unconscious soldiers which I helped a little by made them float one by one. After dealing with some of the more important matters, Tony walked towards where I was placed. I wanted to hide but I was afraid attempting to do it would make it more awkward.
