Chapter 13 - Escape - Peter

The moment Bolivar Trask got down from the helicopter, everything was happening fast. The three of us who were hidden since earlier didn't know what to do. We wanted to save our friends but the weapon the six people unit were carrying seemed to have an absolute effect on the mutants. It instantly depowered the person targeted and sucked off his power. Wanda, who put down everyone instantly, also couldn't react against it. They put restraints on her immediately.

"Take care of the other mutants," Trask commanded.

Soon after Trask's men put everyone who was knocked out by Wanda with the same collars. He smiled when he saw Magneto was unable to fight due to Wanda's previously constricting him.

"You may escape from us before. But now you're back on our hands," Trask gleefully said.

"Hmmph," Magneto tried to speak but failed.

"Thanks to your failed plan, I'll be able to bring down both your groups and the X-Men," Trask grinned.

One of his men then put the collar on Magneto.

"What are those things they hang on everyone's necks?" I asked Deadpool and Aoi.

"Mutant Inhibitor Collars. It neutralizes both mutants born or mutated individuals," Deadpool explained, "Usually they put it on once the person is defeated or unconscious, but it seems they've developed it so it could be shot immediately."

"Can you take them off?" I asked again.

"Only by their keys or remote. But if you have manipulation powers like Wanda, Mr. Erik, or me, you can," Aoi said, "Should I try? I need to know the code name of the collar though. It is kinda hidden on the bottom of each collar. So we need to get really close."

"Whatever you're attempting to do, better do it quickly before they can target you," Deadpool warned.

"Get on my back. I'll zoom one by one with Karen and you wish it quickly, okay?" I suggested.

"I'll try!" Aoi nervously replied.

"I'll distract them while you guys do your thing," Deadpool said.

"On the count of three," I started, "One, two..."

"Yo fuckface!" Deadpool stood up and shouted, "Better be quick if you wanna get your hands on these buns."

"It's the merc! Shoot him!" Trask immediately ordered.

Deadpool ran and dodge every collar shot at him. I went out from our hiding with Aoi on my back, sneaking to the nearest one we saw, Nightcrawler. While Trask was agitated at Deadpool, we tried to look for the code. I scanned it with Karen and once I found the code, Aoi wished for it to break off.

"Thanks," Nightcrawler thanked while trying to get up.

"Hide first! We are trying to free everyone," I told him.

"Good luck!" he said before transporting himself away.

We went for Lorna next. I quietly went to where she lied and was about to scan her collar until I felt something was wrapped on my neck. One of the shooters saw what we did and was about to shoot at Aoi too. I webbed him up to prevent it. But he yelled to his fellow accomplice about us. I had no other choice but to back away from there.

CLANG!

I heard another was shot.

"They got me, Peter," Aoi panicked.

"Okay. This pain isn't working. We need to retreat!" I said to him while shooting at one of the tall trees still standing, getting away from the place.
