It is common for people to naturally associate success with happiness.
Success can prompt happiness but only if the success is relative to something individual values. If one is successful in a certain aspect of life but they have no personal value of said aspect the success means nothing. Pursuing a life in something you do not personally have a connection with will not bring you happiness despite the amount of wealth you acquire from it.
Despite my success, I do not feel the happiness I yearn. Since the idea that happiness is obtainable through working harder to acquire success is implanted in my mind, by being successful I will become happier, but as stated in the previous line it does not work this way. More success does not equate to more happiness and so I will never truly feel happy by these means.
