NEXO Knights: Power Rangers

Petrified Lance

Good news. I might be able to do updates quicker, bad news, I lost my job due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Texas. I will still be getting paid for this week and an additional 20 hours but... yeah. It really sucks. Anyway, on with the story.

It was just a normal day at Knighton Academy... well, except for the NEXO Knights. They were not only studying for a test, but they were also researching the half map so they could find the secret behind the Fire Storm. 

"Hey,  Aaron, any luck on you know what?" Axl asked them.

"No. I've been looking at this for nearly a week now, and still nothing."

"Ha! I got more problems right on the practice quiz which means you owe me lunch, Lance," Macy told him.

"Oh, lunch! Hmm..." Axl said while rubbing his stomach.

"Wait, there are still four minutes left on the timer, Macy. I could still have more right than you," Lance told her not looking up from his paper and book.

Jestro walked by the group with his notes and textbook and said, "Hey, guys."

"Hey, Jestro, how's the studying going?" Clay asked after he quickly hid the map.

"Great. The teacher has been helping me a lot, and you guys too. Thanks by the way."

"No problem, Jestro," Lance told him. Lance looked at Jestro who flinched.

"Uh... well... umm..."

"What's wrong? Frog in your throat?"

"No... well... you have a... thing right here..." Jestro said nervously as he pointed at his nose.

"What?" Lance looked at his nose. "WHOA!" He pulled out his phone and looked at the selfie camera. Lance had a huge zit on his nose.

"Gotta go, bye guys!" Then Jestro ran out of the library without another word. 

Meanwhile, Macy was laughing a bit. 'Lance finally got his just desserts.'

"Man, this zit looks like I have an extra nose."

Aaron's eyes widened at the sound of that. He looked up at Lance who was looking at himself. "That's it!" Lance pulled out the map that Clay had hidden. "Maybe the scroll to the Fire Storm is like two halves of the same face, minus the zit, of course."

"Shh... We don't need the whole school to hear what we're doing," Clay told them. "If we have figured it out, then we should tell Merlok."

At the Fortrex, Ava was working on the computer and Robin was making something to help the trees and plants in the forest. "Robin, what are you doing with human things?"

"I asked the Rangers to bring me this stuff from the human world. Fertilizer, fruit seeds that grow on trees, and more. I want to combine them with magical potions to restore plants after they died or at least make something to help the crops grow back or both."

As Robin was combining all his ingredients, Aaron was showing the others what he found out about the Fire Storm map. "So, then it hit me."

"Tell us, you've barely told us anything on the way here," Axl told him.

"The mirror was the key," As Aaron was explaining his idea, Lance was looking at himself in a mirror and making all sorts of plans to get rid of his zit. "So, while Lance was staring at himself, and I was staring at Lance, the answer was staring at me." Aaron walked over to Lance, took the mirror, and walked back to the others. He used the mirror to reflect half of the map. "What mountain does that look like?"
