Alaska was seated on the HMS Pogue next to John B who was driving, she held the envelope that they had found last night. The girl still couldn't get the last few words of her uncles out of her head. The sentence had been repeating its self all morning.
The group's comfortable silence was interrupted when JJ, who was sitting at the front of the boat shirtless, had whistled at a boat that was driving by them.
"You guys see that? That's the Malibu 24-MXZ, the world's finest wakesetter. Number one in luxury, quality, and performance. 200K, easy." the blond boy who knew more about boats than anyone on the island listed facts about the boat passing them.
"We picked the wrong parents." Pope spoke from the other side of John B.
"I mean I didn't, mine just either died or became an abusive drug addict." Ala's halfway joked from her seat.
"I- Ala... I'm not sure if that was supposed to be funny or-" Pope replied looking at the girl. The boy sat beside the girl held a small smirk on his face knowing how awkward Pope got when Ala joked about her trauma.
"I hate to break it to you guys, but that's Topper and Ala's cousin." Kie spoke from the side of the boat. As the boat passed the friends Alaska watched as the couple on the fancy boat ignored them. "You don't have to at like you don't see us, bitch." the petty dark haired girl spoke loudly.
"Ya know, I've thought about like changing my last name so people didn't call me the like 'Unwanted Cameron' and all those names, but then I remember that I hate my mom more that I hate my uncle and his family so I've come to conclusion that I'm just gonna marry a random person and take their last name" Ala thought out loud. Hearing the girls thoughts her friends all just stared at her blankly.
"Ala I'll marry you" JJ joked from the front of the boat.
"Aww how sweet thank you Jay" Alaska jokingly blew a kiss at the blond boy to which he caught and put in the pocket of his shorts.
"Alaska Maybank has a good ring to it actually" John B added onto the joke going on in between his two best friends.
"It does, doesn't Pope" Kie smiled turning to the boy beside her.
"Oh yea, I can see it" the darker complexioned boy answered.
"Alright it is settled we are getting married Alaska Jo" JJ informed from the front of the boat.
"I'm down, Kie wanna be my maid of honor?" Alaska replied, looking at her best friend.
"Oh absolutely, and we can have Zeus be the ring bearer" Kie answered her best friend.
"Alright we're set, Kie's my maid of honor, JB will obviously be giving me away, Pope can be the best man, Zeus is the ring bearer. JJ we got the easy parts, all we gotta do is look pretty and kiss at the end" Alaska clapped her hand as she went down the list.
