1. The first night, and the one before the great battle, is at its peak, as Peter encourages his resistance, assuring they will win.
2. "Remember, my friends: I can do all this through Him who gives me strength!!"
Peter shouts, as every single soul cherishes in infinite confidence and determination.3. But Nina was extremely serious. She did trust Abate and read the notes. Her sight was so focused on Peter's eyes, but her mind was so far, thinking about the atrocity that she read.
4. She calls Peter for an important talk, and they head to his office. Before he could ask what was bothering her, Nina throws in his desk the notes.5. "Where did you find those?"
Peter takes a quick look, and immediately finds out what was those pieces of paper.6. "In your desk."
Nina says directly, keeping such a straight face. She was fighting a lot to not display her extreme hate for her beloved one at that moment.7. "That's impossible, my brother kept it locked in a safe hidden in his home"
Peter refused to believe that those notes simply popped in his own office.8. "Well, somehow it got here"
Nina disbelieves him. Her face doesn't change at all, still holding her rage and hate.9. "What could you be possibly doing in my desk? You wouldn't doubt me... Was it one of my followers? It was, wasn't it? Tell me!"
The prophet tries to deflect the subject, but at the same time was slighty worried about the possible treason.10. "Does it really matter right now? The point is what you did to my fiancee!"
Nina talks in a louder volume, finally letting her fury come out and face the young man.11. "Can't we talk about this later, Nina?"
Peter has no strength at all to deal with this consequence of his past irrational act.12. "No, we can't!! You took him away from me!"
Nina shouts, poking Peter's chest with her finger, pointing to the guilty man.13. "He didn't love you!"
The prophet tries to justify himself.14. "How could you possibly know, you moron?!?!"
Nina says, undignified.15. "And more important, you didn't love him!!"
Peter assured his vague conclusion, even though he couldn't actually know that.16. "OF COURSE I DID!!!"
Nina bursts out her rage, with a very loud scream. She couldn't believe how delusional Peter was. She, then, proceeds:
17. "It was very confusing at the beginning, but I learned to love him. I had to! You could send me letters, but he was there for me!"
Nina justified her love, even though she knew she didn't have to.18. "I was poor!! What could I've done?!"
The prophet keeps treating himself as the victim of the story because he couldn't face the consequence.19. "The same thing I did when you were the only one left for me! Drop everything behind, and live with me!"
Nina answers, shutting Peter's mouth once and for all. She continues:
20. "But you didn't... because what you had wasn't love, it was just obsession. You thought that no one but you could have me..."
She says.21. "You're out of your mind..."
Peter tries to deny it all. But he knew it was in vain. Nina was right all along, and he couldn't change her mind.22. "I might be. But I'm leaving you."
Nina replies.23. "Do you think that'll shake me up? I'm only doing this to save our souls, so we can go to the promised land!"
The prophet still tries to make up excuses to keep her from leaving.24. "I do think that. Because you still love me..."
Nina brings up the brightest point in the whole story.25. "I 'loved' you. Today I only love God, my redeemer. That's why I pray..."
Peter justifies, but Nina interrupts him immediately.26. "No, Simeon. I've seen my whole village praying. And they weren't like you at all. Even if God did call you and made you operate those miracles, you're still blood marked inside. Maybe your devouts should know that as well."
Nina doesn't believe in Peter anymore. She starts to leave the room27. "Well you can try... but do you really think they'll believe you?"
Peter says, making Nina stop her way out of the office.28. "Maybe a few of them..."
Nina replies, but is interrupted.29. "And even if they do, they will take you only as a slut who was engaged to a man and was also talking to another one. And just like that, I will be taken as a saint who forgave a prostitute and helped her, just like Jesus with Mary Magdalene...
30. And they will never believe that a saint could do what you told them..."
Peter says, in a convincing and maleficent tone.31. Nina leaves in tears, surprised by how the man that helped her through her hardest times could just turn his back to her in a matter of seconds.
32. Peter keeps his straight serious face, like nothing could hit him right now. He knew he was closer than ever to fulfill his goals.
