I was well away from the party when Itachi caught my arm. I spun and faced him. "What?"
He was concerned. "What's wrong?"
I averted my gaze. "Nothing."
He sighed. "Liar."
I pulled my arm away from him, irritated. "He died, Itachi. It's not something to brag about."
He nodded. "Okay."
I frowned. "Didn't want to stay and hear how your beloved wife is a bloodthirsty killer?"
He looked surprised. "It was an accident."
I scoffed. "It looked like an accident."
He blinked. "Then..."
I turned back around and kept walking. "It was a test... it worked, I brought him back, end of story."
He fell in stride beside me. "Do they know that?"
I sighed. "A and B do..."
He looked ahead. "They don't seem offended by it."
I rolled my eyes. "Added fuel to the join them fire."
He took my hand. "Why'd you do it?"
I looked up at the sky. "Honestly... I don't know. I don't remember the details surrounding the fight, but I don't remember being at a disadvantage either."
He thought for a moment. "What did you do?"
"I sent an electric current through him... powerful enough to stop his heart."
He blinked. "How'd you bring him back?"
I shrugged. "I punched him with the same amount of electricity."
"When did you learn you could do that?" I looked at him curiously. "Transfer different chakra types through touch."
I shrugged. "I don't know when, people would make me mad or touch me, and I'd do it. Like with most things, it was just a matter of learning to control it."
He nodded. "What's you, chakra nature?"
I tilted my head. "I don't have one."
He paused. "What?"
I looked at him. "You heard me correctly, Itachi." He frowned and pulled a paper from his pocket, handing it to me. "Try it."
I looked at it and back at him. "Chakra is going through it."
He arched a brow. "Nothing's happening..."
To prove it, I pierced it with a thread. "4 more..." He pulled them out, and I pierced them as well. I channeled the different natures into them, one spilt in half, one caught fire, one got wet, one crumbled to dirt, and the last crumpled around it's piercing.
He mouth parted, maybe the closest thing to a gape I've ever seen on him. "How?"
I shrugged. "Same as how I aquire kekkai genkai... it's part of who I am."
I let what was left of the paper fall to the ground. "The perfect shinobi."
I shook my head. "There's no such thing." He wrapped his hand around mine. "But you know... if we were to have kids... this is part of what we may have to deal with."
He blinked. "But..."
I shook my head. "Anything's possible, Uchiha. You've known me long enough to know that by now."
He kissed my head. "This is true... so then, are there others?"
"What do you mean? Of my clan, not that I know of."
He shook his head. "That are reborn like you."
His question caught me off guard. "Well... yes, but it's not the same."
"How so?"
I stopped and turned to him. "Most don't remember their previous lives... I don't know why I did specifically or Yua before I killed her or Madara... though his rebirth seems different this time."
He blinked. "How?"
I sighed and held out my hand. "Come, a more private setting is necessary."
He took it, and I took us to a large ornate room, clearly in a palace of some kind. He looked around curiously. "What is this? Where is this?"
I smiled softly. "My home of sorts... it's one of the few places where I know we can not be heard."
He blinked. "Okay..."
I led him to a table. "So, you know my soul was somehow placed into Chihiro as an infant... there are two choices by the age of 16: first, remain and consume the original host or die and move into a body more compatible with my chakra."
He frowned. "She would have died..."
I nodded. "Yes, and it was the original decision before everything happened."
He sighed. "I see..."
"Yua and Madara, on the other hand, are born, grow, and die... at least that's how it was. I killed Yua with a dagger that severs the soul, completely making it nearly impossible for them to be reincarnated... the same one that claimed the life of my twin many years ago."
He frowned. "Your twin?"
I smiled. "Yes, Shinobi... it happens, our names are no coincidence. We essentially found the ninja world teaching others how to defend themselves and protect others since our clan was dwindling."
I sighed. "It was that incident that led to my soul being transferred... I was like Yua before then, but something happened that stopped the cycle. Madara, on the other hand... he is using another's body, but his soul has not consumed the other... it is a coexistence of sorts that I'm not familiar with."
He blinked. "How do you know?"
"My greatest gift is the use of my mind, Itachi. It keeps me ahead of my enemy if not right on par."
I fell silent, allowing him to process. "But there are others... that don't remember?"
I smiled softly. "Yes... and I've recognized a few. Sasori was one, a healer in past lives who I was quite fond of... Deidara is another. His life is always cut short in the pursuit of whatever art he takes a liking to in that lifetime... they were friends once who never seemed to get along, much like this life."
He thought for a moment. "Any others?"
I smirked. "Are you asking of anyone specifically?"
He met my gaze. "Am I?"
I nodded and held out my hand. "Yes... you are..."
