Simon (Third Person) :
"You know, that movie wasn't as shit as I thought it would be."
JJ admitted to Simon, slurping on the remains of his slushy."See! It's a good movie."
Simon and JJ were sitting down on a bench, outside of the cinema. There was a calming breeze washing over them.
"Speaking of shitty things, when are we going to finish our project?"
Simon asked."Mmm... how about on Monday. I can't be asked to do work on the weekends."
JJ laughed."Seems good."
Simon shrugged. Simon would spend the weekend studying anyway, so it didn't make a difference.They sat in silence for a while.
"Do you want to play 21?"
JJ asked, mainly because he wanted to ask Simon some questions that would sound very forward in a normal conversation."Alright fine, who starts?"
Simon asked.JJ grinned as he realized Simon didn't know the trick.
"You start."
JJ said instantly, before Simon could say anything."Ok... 1,2,3."
Simon started, resting his head on the table, looking into the distance.JJ couldn't help but notice how Simon looked so relaxed. It was cute.
"4."
JJ smirked, knowing Simon wasn't going to win."5,6."
"7,8."
"9,10,11."
"12."
"13,14,15."
"16.
"17, 18... 19."
Simon said slowly, just realising he's about to loose."20."
JJ grinned evilly."21."
"So, truth or dare?"
JJ asked."Definitely truth. I ain't trusting you with a dare."
Simon scoffed, which made JJ laugh."Ok... are you straight?"
JJ asked, looking at Simon closely, to see his reaction.There was no point asking meaningless questions like 'would you rather burn to death or freeze to death'.
Simon kept a neutral face, not looking at JJ.
"I- Uh, Yeah."
Simon lied to JJ, trying his best to sound as calm as possible. Well not lie. Simon wasn't lying. It was 100% the truth.JJ felt a hint of... disappointment? He didn't know why. Probably because... it would be harder to win the bet. Yes! That's the reason.
Simon was still trying his best to look like he had just told the truth.
What is he saying?
He had told the truth... but it felt as if he were lying. 'Someone can find a guy cute without being gay can't they...?' Simon wondered.
Who fucking cares.
It doesn't concern him, because he's straight.100%... straight.
"1,2."
Simon started, trying to distract him from his thoughts."3,4."
JJ grinned again.*Time skip*
3 games of '21' later, JJ has discovered many things that Simon never intended to let slip.
But on the other hand, Simon's knowledge of JJ stayed the same.
"Your literally a 10 year old then!"
JJ laughed at Simon."Shut up! I-I'm waiting for the right person."
Simon admitted, blushing."You're one interesting person. Now you start."
JJ said, chucking his empty cup into the bin."Ok. 1,2... hold on! Why do I always start!? I bet there's a trick!"
Simon said skeptically."No! I'll start then, you big baby. 1,2,3."
JJ said, hoping Simon hasn't caught on. If JJ looses, Simon would get to ask the questions!Simon squinted his eyes at JJ, then counted the numbers to 21.
"Aha! I knew there was a trick!"
Simon said, pointing an accusing finger at JJ."What!? No!"
JJ denied, knowing there wasn't much use. He knew Simon knew."4."
Simon said smugly."Ugh, fine. You win. There's no point playing."
JJ sighed."Truth or dare?"
Simon asked."Dare."
JJ said, straight away.""What!? C'mon! I want ask you personal questions like you did me!"
Simon pouted."Deal with it."
"I dare you... to answer all of the questions you asked me."
"Fuck you."
JJ said, flipping Simon off, which Simon simply laughed at."Ok, well, I've been in many relationships... Unlike you."
"Oh, fuck you."
Simon said, going red."You forgot to answer one of them. Are you straight?"
Simon asked curiously.JJ looked into his eyes.
"Nope."
He said, smiling at him.For some reason Simon's cheeks felt hot.
"Why are you blushing?"
JJ asked, starting to grin."What!? I'm not blushing! It's- it's cold! No, hot!"
Simon stuttered, fanning himself."What, are you glad I'm not straight?"
JJ teased further."No."
Simon replied awkwardly.None of them said anything for a while.
"You know, you should sit with me at lunch more often."
JJ said, out of the blew."What!?"
Simon said, shocked."Well do you not want to sit with a handsome, smart, heroic boy and his friends?"
JJ joked."Oh, get over your self."
Simon scoffed."Jokes aside, I think it'll be nice for you to meet the others."
"Mkay. I'll think 'bout it."
Simon replied."Now I'm going home. My mum's going to kill me for not telling her where I am."
Simon said getting up from the bent him and JJ were sitting on."Okay, see ya."
JJ said, not getting up."Your not going home?"
Simon asked."Nah. I like watching the sun set."
JJ said, leaning back on the wall."Oh, ok. Bye, JJ."
"Bye."
