The night fades
The stars rearrange
You said you'd be here with me
Legs draped over the rooftop
Waiting out the sunrise
Where are you now?
I saw the beauty in you
I mean, that's what everyones Mum tells them to do
Right?
The clouds are turning grey I'm falling straight into your lies
They say there's meant to be a rainbow
At the end of the storm
Right?
You've ruined my thoughts
Draped them in a thick cloud of gloom
I once dreamed of love as a fairytale
I mean, that's what everyones Mum tells them it is
Right?
Once I saw bright fields of colour
Now I see desolate rubble
You shattered my heart
Trust issues filling its place
Oh, how dumb I was to think
That love was a mere fairytale
I've since discovered it's a fantasy
Buried at the back of your memories
Constantly haunting you
A nightmare.
Why have you done this to me?
I'm broken
