3rd Person (I suck at 3rd person, btw)

It was a deathly cold night in the season of No Light.  A middle aged man at about 6'5" was walking in what seemed to be a rocky plane going on for miles.  Then, all of a sudden, a mound of rocks opened up revealing a long tunnel.  The man stepped inside, the door closing behind him, making the landscape look normal once again.

This mysterious man walked down the hall, folding his twelve fingers behind his back. (yes, I said twelve) He turned down the area labeled 'restricted'.  The man entered a room to the left, trimmed with silver.

      "Ah, I see you've arrived."

"Yes sir, you called?" asked our mystery man.

"Yes, General, whats the update on my daughter?"

The general gulped.  If he told the truth, Earth would be doomed.  Maybe he should say that a Giant Arthropod had killed her.  After all, that isn't uncommon...  No, he knows she's to fast to be caught.  The general knew that if he was caught in a lie the overlord would have his head for dinner.  Literally

"I'm waiting, General! I DON'T have patience for this!" he said, raising his voice.

"Well, we do know where your daughter is... But there is a slight  problem..." the General replied hesitantly.

"A what?!" the overlord replied calmly. However that was the frightening part.

"You see... remember that human we captured a month ago?  Well... It seems as if they left for Earth... together."

The overlord didn't blow up as the general expected.  He actually seemed pretty calm.  All of a sudden, he swiftly turned around.  He opened his mouth to speak, but then he closed it, appearing as if he was thinking.  He pulled his hand up and rubbed his temples, then looked back at the general with a hard stare.

"That- that dirty human... and Earth, for a matter of fact... will pay."

Dun, dun, DUN!!! I know that the prologue is boring and short, but that may be because I suck at writing 3rd person.  Keep in mind (as the second author of this account) I haven't written any other story before.  Trust me people, editing and writing are two very different things!  I have a great plot in mind, so please stay tuned.  I'm also open to suggestions, so if you have any, PLEASE message me. Remember to vote and comment on this story if you like it.  Bye meh potatoes!
