Later on, Wendell called the police while I looked over the edge. I didn't want to believe what had just happened. I couldn't see his body but yet, I wasn't really looking. The police, along with ambulance, got here not that long after he called. They asked about what happened, if anyone else was here, and what not but I couldn't get myself to answer them. They took us home after they were done investigating the scene for now. I just laid in bed the rest of the night, unable to do anything else.
The next morning, I didn't get out of bed until half of the day was over. Thank god, it's only Saturday. My phone was on silent for once until Wendell texted me. I really should remove him from my emergency list. I rolled over and read it several times before I realized I wasn't hallucinating. He told me to meet him by the park and that Gregory was okay. I didn't even try to look good. I just put on a hoodie and walked out the door.
I couldn't find Wendell anywhere but I kept seeing Maya. But she was almost glitching and bleeding from her eyes and head. What the...? "Mally..." She kept repeating, almost menacingly. "Get out of my head, you dumb bitch." "Now that's not very nice, is it? I thought I was your friend, am I not?" She was now in front of me and continued to get closer as she talked. "No. You're not. Now just leave me and everybody else alone.!" I tried to walk away but Maya forced me to stay and I couldn't move.
"I might but you have to do something for me"
