Chapter 5: Comments

Kouvr POV

As I sit on Alex's shoulders, pushing against Mia's hands. Shes sitting on Thomas's back, facing away from the hot tub. As I almost get her off, I notice Sophia on the phone by the hot tub. She's on the phone with someone, pacing, and she looks really nervous.

"Wait- Mia, Mia seriously, stop" I whisper shout, "Thomas, don't turn but Mia, glance behind you at Soph," She does so, and turns back to me looking confused as Alex says, "Is she okay?"

"I don't know. But doesn't she look scared?" The look on her face and the way she's biting her lip concern me a lot.

"I saw her take her legs out of the pool and run to her phone, what could it be?" Thomas looks just as worried as I do.

"How realistically bad could it be Kouv, I'm sure it's a business thing and she'll sort it out." Alex just wants to reassure me and I guess he could be right.

I start to nod until Thomas speaks up again, "Every part of her career basically goes through me. Her merch launch blew up it was great, her followers go up every day, and, she's Sophia, there's no scandal to be had. She's not involved and anything." Suddenly theres a huge splash, and Alex nearly drops me as we see Chase and Paper fly from the trampoline into the pool, Calvin and Patty laughing their heads off. Everyone else starts laughing too as Chase tries to tackle Paper in the water, and I look back at Soph again. She lowers her head, and then hangs up the phone, walking up the stairs toward the house.

Sophia POV

"What the fuck was that video huh Sophia?"

Mason called me a few minutes ago. He has a different ring tone, so I knew it was him. I knew he wouldn't like it but I didn't think it would be like this.

"Mason I swear-"

"You swear? Why would I believe you, you lying bitch!? I let you go to that house and hang out with them, I let you go out with them, I let you work with that guy, Thomas. What exactly did you think I was going to say when that girl posted that video? It's trending already Sophia, do you know what that makes you look like?" He's just yelling at this point but I know that he's right. It's just that I was having so much fun with my friends, and then this happens.

"Mason, I swear that it was harmless. He was just hugging me. Addison was just joking, I promise."

"Well that harmless video makes you look like a cheating bitch, and me like a clueless, naive idiot. You did this Sophia. Look at the comments. Everyone agrees with me, just look at the comments." My heart sinks. My fans are going to hate me. And he's right its my fault.

"Please Mason, I-"

"No Sophia, we'll talk later. I don't even want to hear your whiny voice anymore, let alone see you." Right as I go to try and apologize he hangs up, cutting me off again. I look down, trying not to cry. Hoping no one has seen me, I go to run up the stairs. Everyone is still in or around the pool, laughing at something Chase did. I go through the doors and run to the living room with my bag, going up the stairs towards Addison's room and once I'm there I tie my wet hair up in a bun on top of my head.

After rushing up here, I realize I don't even know what I'm going to do next. I slide down one of her walls, and take out my phone. I shudder and struggle to breathe as I open Tiktok and see how many tags I have. I click on the top one, and it takes me to the comments of Addison's post.
