Chapter 14: We Get It

Time jump a month to June 19, 2020

In this story, Kouvr's birthday is June 20th, not May 31st. I'm sorry I had to change that. Also, I've mentioned this before, Jack is 18, and at this point, Sophia is 17.

I am changing her face claim to Lauren Kettering.

They are moving into the new Hype House(The old Faze House) and the next day is Kouvr's birthday.

Sophia POV

I look around the roof: the pool, the hot tub, and the huge lettering on the wall. I can tell my face is readable by Chase's out burst from behind me, which effectively scares me out of my mind.

"Okay, Sophia, we get it!"

"What?! I'm just exploring, what did I do?!" I turn to see him, Ryland, Nick, Alex, and Thomas walking outside.

"You look like you want to throw up, Phia." Thomas laughs, waking over with the others and slinging an arm around my shoulders. I roll my eyes, sighing.

"Okay, I just... I think it's a little excessive." I grin, laughing as the boys roll their eyes, "Like yeah. I love it, and it's so cool, and it's just cool in general that my life is that I can live in a house like this with my best friends. I just... is all of this necessary?" I look around and Ryland is already not paying attention to me, walking inside with Nick.

"Soph, you've worked harder, not to mention longer, than any of us in this house. You deserve this. Get that through your newly dyed head." Chase says, shaking my shoulders as Thomas moves. Everyone laughs and I crack a smile.

I left one day a week ago and went to Habit Salon, without Chase knowing. I had it dyed even darker black, and I had them put in... a lot of extensions. I also used that post to kind of say, yes I'm going to not be overly inappropriate or adult online, but I'm done hiding things about myself or only posting certain things. It was also the first time I posted since... well I guess since I joined the Hype House. I did videos for Tiktok, but mainly with other people on their account and on the Hype House account. I did almost nothing on mine.

So I decided that it was time. Time to come back to the people I love. The thing I love.

Chase found it um... overly impulsive. And I got a serious lecture.

So he's still a little bit annoyed by it. He thinks Mason and our whole relationship is why I did it.

And maybe it is, maybe he's right.

But why I went, and why I posed that, was because I need to be myself, but really myself.

So I changed my hair. And I'm happier.

"I know," I sigh, "I just... never thought I'd be here I guess." I smile, looking around, "I guess it is pretty cool."

"Hell yeah!" Alex and Chase yell at the same time, widening their eyes before we all start laughing again.

"But um, are those fans always going to be there? Like the hundred or so people out there?" I look towards Thomas and Alex, who just shrug.

I walk over and look down towards the street, instantly hearing several people screaming. Ooookay.

"I'm gonna go find Tayler and them and see if they're moving in okay," I smile at the boys, turning back around towards them and walking inside.

"Remember Kouvr's Happy Birthday Celebration out here at midnight! And the pool party tomorrow!" Alex yells after me, making me throw a hand in the air to say I heard him.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOUVR!" We all yell, her giggling under all the lights everyone is shining on her and her cake because of the dark. It's really cold, I ended up having to throw a sweatshirt on and I'm still shivering.

"Awhh," I grin as she hugs Alex, and walk over to sit on her other side, laying my head onto her shoulder, "I love you Kouv, and I'm glad I get to be a part of this family now. A part of your family." She smiles bigger, a tear falling as she turns and hugs me tightly.

"Phia, you've always been our family. You always will be." I smile as we pull away, moving so other people can talk to her. As I stand, Jack grabs my hand, pulling me towards the other side of the roof.

We watch everyone, standing in silence as the light hitting the pool reflects on our faces.

"You really still okay with moving in here?" He asks, looking down at me.

"It's a lot I guess, because like, before the other house, I only lived in apartments out here, and then suddenly I was in that huge house, and now we're in a four story house with a pool on the roof," he nods in understanding, but I continue, "But even so, I like it here. Or I will. I love being with all of you, my room is insane, and... I like this. The stars, the pool, the view... I just never thought my life would ever look this... great." I smile up towards him before looking around, my eyes scanning the whole roof.

"Me either," he smiles too, but what I don't notice, is that his aren't looking around. They actually aren't looking anywhere, except towards one person.

Okay, so I almost didn't finish this before midnight, but I did, and I'm so excited to be back on this! I love this book, I always have, and I missed it!

Tomorrow I'm updating a ton of different stories and I'm really excited'
