03 resign

"You bitch! Where have you been?!" Yuna exclaimed when I arrived at the dorm. I quickly sat on the plastic stool while shivering while Yuna was in a frenzy around the room. She went to her drawer that was under her bed and got a towel for me.

"Oh my you must be cold." She worriedly stated as she placed the towel around my shoulders.

"D-duhh, it's obvious b-bitch." My voice trembled.

"What an attitude." She mumbled.

Yuna got the water heater that we hid behind our bookshelf and heated some water using it. The dorm in our university is so strict. They won't let us have our own heater, rice cooker and stove cause we might cause a fire. We're university students, not highschool students.

She got the small thermos and placed some herbs in it, then the hot water.

"I wanna ask you more but you don't look well so drink this bitch." She stated like a responsible sister.

"Thanks." And took a sip from it. Hmm, that feels a lot better.

"Yuna are you that worried that you skipped class?" I asked her.

She looked at me with a flat stare before answering.

"It's typhoon, bitch." And snapped her fingers afterwards.

Ohh.... so that's why it's raining cats and dogs.

"Now take a shower and rest okay, I'm gonna go down at the cafeteria. There's ramen inside our snackbox, eat it before going to sleep." She said before getting her purse and waved goodbye.

I woke up from a sudden loud bang from outside and a sudden flash of light. I was lying in bed facing the window and saw the rain pouring very hard and thunder booming. My body felt tired and heavy, I can't even properly open my eyes cause it feels like I'm carrying a load of weight on my eyelids.

"Eunseo, wake up bitch, you need to eat some proper meal and drink this medicine." Yuna came and check my temperature by placing her palms on my sweating forehead. We don't have thermometer cause gurl we told you, we're broke.

Eventhough she calls me bitch a lot she still acts like a responsible older sister she is. She has a younger brother who has down syndrome, his name is Sujin.

But her brother's disorder isn't a hindrance for him to be active and cheerful. He's like a twinky with lots and lots of energy and love in him.

But behind Sujin's cheerfulness, he experienced being bullied by the other kids which led him to hate himself and throw tantrums everytime. But Yuna was there to help his brother to cope up with his self. If I would be Sujin, I would be really damn lucky.

"Bitch, come and get yo ass of from your bed and eat." She said as she got some plastic bowls and spoons.

"Fine." I simply said and stood up.

"Are you sure about it?" Yuna asked me while both of us were walking in the corridors of our university. I planned on resigning at the bar, since the incident I don't wanna go there anymore.

"Hmm, yeah."

"What are you planning to do next?"

"Probably apply some part-time jobs. Like a cashier or somethin'." I answered and placed both of my hands inside my pocket.

She stopped her pace and looked at me while squinting her eyes.

"And what do you mean by 'some'? Four part-time jobs at a time that pays below the minimum salary?" She said with a raising eyebrow and her hands on her waist.

"Exactly bitch." I said with a smile and continued walking with my heads up high.

"Eunseo!!!" She loudly exclaimed making all the students' head turn towards her. I also got startled by her loud voice that my body froze for awhile before running towards her to cover her mouth while bowing to the people around us before leaving the place.

When we got out from there Yuna turned to me with an unamused look.

"Eunseo, please don't overwork yourself for the both of us."

"But I need to help you with the fee. The dorm, food, living expenses and most importantly I need to pay my long list of debts from you."

She sighed and held both of my shoulders with a worried look.

"Eunseo, bitch, you already paid your debts by taking care of me."

"I'm touched about your statement but bitch please we might be broke but we're not that cheesy." Then we both laughed for awhile.

"Yeah that cringed me too, but seriously bitch, it's fine. You don't have to work that much just to pay me." She laughed saying those until she calmed down at the end.

"I'm gonna miss you Eunseo noona!"

I just passed my resignation letter and finally resigned here. Haru was shocked by the news that he couldn't help but cry on my shoulders while hugging me tight. He is such a baby. I remembered how he got lost here in Seoul and have no place to go, so he slept at the streets in the middle of winter where I found him.

"Me too Haru..." I hugged him closer and brushed his silky hair in between my fingers.

He kept on crying and couldn't even breathe properly.

"Stop crying Haru, Yuna's still gonna work here."

"But still... I will miss you very much, I will never forget how you helped m-me.."

After a short while of staying in that position, Haru calmed down so I took the chance to detach ourselves from each other.

I held both of his shoulders and looked at the carefully to his eyes. He looks pitiful that it makes me guilty for leaving this sudden.

"I'm gonna go now, hm?" I informed him and his response was a nod.

I hugged him one more time before going out from the bar. When I opened the glass door, I was welcomed by a panorama of orange, yellow and pink tinted sky. I looked at my wristwatch to see the time and it's already 5:22 pm.

I planned earlier to apply some part-time jobs today but I think all my energy got drained and decided to search jobs tomorrow.

I walked on the sidewalks and passed by at the public park and decided to sit at the benches and bought some ice cream cause I deserve one today. I looked up at the sky but a family who seems to be camping caught my attention. They were on a picnic blanket laughing while the kids ran around the tent.

I felt jealous looking at them. I didn't experience those things with my family before. Yes, I used to have a family before becoming an orphan.

I smiled bitterly and just continued eating my ice cream.
