"Hey mom..." I look up at Ross who has his elbow leaning against the steering wheel and he waves his hand for me to continue. "I'll be staying at Hailey's tonight. Just wanted to let you know. Love you, goodnight."

I shut my phone sighing. Why did I agree to stay the night at Ross'? No one is going to be home and it's Ross we're talking about. I won't put it past him to try anything. We've been sitting in his garage for a good ten minutes fighting over me staying, I caved in because I have no other way to get home and walking is out of the question.

I throw the door open and get out slamming it closed, completely forgetting that it's Ross' dads car. Oh well, if I did any damage, Ross can take the blame. After all, he is the one who took the car in the first place.

"You can act a little more excited to be spending the night with me." Ross says pulling open the garage door that leads inside the house for me.

I shoot him a dirty look walking past him, "But then I would be faking it."

"It's better than getting the cold shoulder from you." I don't wait for him to lead me to his room because I remember where it is, so I quickly take the stairs heading for the wing where his room is.

"Are you really not going to talk to me?" Ross complains walking into the room right behind me. I ignore him and plop myself down on the couch so my back is to him.

I hear him walk to me and I screech when his face is in front of mine but upside down. He's leaning over the back of the couch so his chest is pressed against the back of my head and his face is only a couple of inches away from mine.

"Can you atleast tell me why you're ignore me?" The humor in his eyes tells me he finds this funny.

I purse my lips at him, "Usually when you kidnap someone, they aren't supposed to talk."

He breaks out into a grin and shakes his head at me. I feel his chest leave the back of my head and then he swings over the back of the couch and takes a seat next to me. "It's not kidnapping if you want to be here." He explains, picking up the remote and turning on the TV while smirking at me.

"Who said I wanted to be here?" I cross my arms over my chest in defense. Maybe he did have more to drink than what he told me and he's still drunk because I know for a fact that I'd rather be home where I can get away from all my problems (Ross) then be here.

He leans closer to me and runs his hand down the side of my face, "Its all in your expression baby. You're happy that I asked you to stay-"

"More like demanded." I scoff pushing his hand away from me, glaring at it as if it were poison.

He shrugs looking back at the TV screen. "Just drop the act and enjoy yourself. Once you let go, we can have fun." He turns his head to me and gives me a look before turning back to see the program that's playing.

"I don't get you." I finally speak, turning sideways on the couch so I'm facing him fully.

"What's not to get?"

"The first time I ever talked to you, you were a complete jerk! Then the second time too when we were in the lunch room." He's now looking at me with a blank expression. "Now you joke around with me, act like my friend, and even try to kiss me." I blush as I remember what almost happened an hour ago at the party.

"So?" Is all he says.

I throw my arms in the air, "So?" I repeat with sarcasm. "What made you change? I was always scared of you because I thought you would kill me-"

Ross burst out laughing to the point where he's clutching his stomach. I glare at him until he stops. "You thought I would kill you? Laura are you stupid?" He says while still laughing a little and giving me a look which says 'you're ridiculous'.
