From thick to thin

Kelly's pov
"Good evening ma." Ella and Naomi greeted.
"My daughters, how are you?" Kelly's Mom replied smiling.
"Kelly!!Your friends are here to see you o. Sit down my children."
"Amarachi how is your mother?" "Fine ma." Ella replied. My mom always addressed Ella by her native name.

I walked into the sitting room looking disturbed.
"Alright my children, I'm going for service. There is food in the freezer, Kelly would warm it for you when
you're hungry."
With that said Mrs Ochonogor picked her bible and left the house.

"Babe, how far?"Naomi asked pulling me to the chair.
"How far what?"i asked looking confused, I already knew what she was implying but my ordeal with Juwon wasn't a topic I wanted to remember right now.
"Our bobo na..."
"Which bobo?"I cut her short.
Naomi looked at me sarcastically.
"He's just a friend." I replied doing my best not to show my emotions in my voice.
"Hmmmm..." Ella replied, curious.
"Please leave this topic."
I wasn't ready to narrate the sad annoying event especially with Ella around.

"Anyways guys, i have gist for you." Ella started, smiling.
"So I and Jimmy went out after school yesterday..."
"Did your Mom know?" I asked cutting her short .
"My Mom ke?.... you want her to kill me?"
"That's very wrong. Why would you go out with someone without letting your Mom know." I replied in an angry tone.
"Huh?" Naomi looked lost.
"How is that your business?"Ella shot back, She was already getting upset.
"It's because you are my friend and i won't hide the truth from you."I replied knowing fully well I was taking out my annoyance with Juwon on her.

"That's a lie, You think I don't know you like Jimmy?" She snapped.
I could feel the rage building within me, i backlashed,

"See you, I don't have time for things like that. I have more importnat things to do, like studying so I can maintain my first position."
I knew what i was about to say next would hurt her but at this point i couldn't stop myself, i wanted her to feel exactly how i felt. i continued.

"And maybe if you studied more instead of flirting with every boy, you'll stop dragging for last postion in
class." ....

"Kelly!!" Naomi shouted.

I could see the tears in Naomi's eyes,  all she could do was stare at us.

"I may not be as smart as you are, but at least my parents can afford to send me to school, and I have a bright future unlike you, who lives in this slump of a house and only God knows if you'll be able to pay through secondary school not to talk of university, and I'll rather walk alone than walk around with less privileged people like you."
And with that Ella stormed out of the
house...

Ella's pov
As I walked out of the house i could hear Naomi trying to call me back, but i won't have any of it, there's no way I'm going back to that house.

I just wanted to go home and cry my eyes out, I had hurt one of my best friends.
It wasn't Kelly's fault her dad died, leaving her to her Mom who was a primary school teacher, to cater for the family. She had to sell their house and move to where they lived now to make ends meet.

I didn't mean all i said, but i couldn't just stand there and watch, afterall Kelly had said some hurtful thing to me too. The truth was infact i admired Kelly, because she was a go getter, She never allowed her background stop her from achieving her goals. I had even hoped Kelly would be a source of inspiration to me but now that wouldn't be.

I looked at my watch. Wow..it's almost 10pm, I had wasted so much time at Kelly's place.... fighting .
It was past my curfew , I'm sure my parents must have tried calling me.

I took out my phone from my pocket, it refused to come on. I thought to myself, the battery must be dead now.  Anyways, home wasn't too far off.

"Fine girl!!" I heard from behind as i approached the usual spot where the
"area boys" usually gathered.

Ohh not again.... Today was so not a day for this nonsense. I walked faster thinking about what excuse to give my mom for getting home late, the usual "we closed late " or "there was traffic" wouldn't work this time.

The plan was to gist at Kelly's place and get home before 7pm but in my anger I had walked instead of taking a cab and my feets were already beginning to ache, as the effect of the long distance trek began to wear on me.
I suddenly sensed a presence behind  me, it seems someone was following me.
"Shey you no hear me, I dey call you."

As i turned to see who it was, i felt a sharp blow to my stomach. Before i could get myself, the masculine figure grabbed me up onto his shoulders, covering my mouth with his big hands. It was already late so there wasn't so much activity on the road moreover people on this streets always minded their business .
I tried wriggling free but his grip on me became tighter as I struggled.
it was obvious he was stronger than me.

He carried me to an uncompleted building close by.
he slammed me on the floor like I was a bag of cement, i groaned in pain.
"This girl you too fine. "
He pinned me to the ground , lying straight on top of me  while still guarding my mouth with his big left hand.
"No worry you go enjoy am."
I could feel the odur oozing from his mouth as he spoke, it was awful.

Smiling mischievously, he let go off my mouth and grabbed both my hands with one hand while using the other hand to undo his trousers.
 
I began to struggle with the every ounce of energy i had in me.
I managed to get one of my hands free and immediately claw at him with it, but his strength overpowered mine once more.

He landed another fatal blow to my tummy, at this point i couldn't feel my body anymore, the pain on my tummy seemed to make me immobile, I was done fighting .
I began to plead and beg for him to let me go, but all my tears fell on deaf ears, he only seemed to be enjoying it the more.
What was about to happen? ...how did i get here?..i couldn't believe this was happening. I wished time would pause but it didn't, I wished someone would tap me up and say it was a dream but that didn't happen, this is real.
Each time I tried to turn away, his grip only seemed to get stronger, i was totally helpless. He opened my uniform and I could not do anything.

His touch on my bare skin felt like ice, I was powerless. He used his lower body to pin me down and in a few minutes  he had his way. This beast of a man didn't even care that i was in tears and pain all through the ordeal. All i could think of was my friends, the high hopes my Dad had for me, my future, they all seemed to vanish
away, few minutes later he was done.
"Kai, this girl hehnn you stubborn o " He stood up, zipping up his tattered trousers.
"Oya come dey go your house "
I didn't move.
He kicked me a bit but i still wasn't moving
"Nawa o, small thing this girl don waka ." He left.
But i remained on the floor ...lifeless.
