Jimmy's pov
I couldn't get my mind off what happened on Saturday. All efforts to speak to her was futile, she had avoided me all week and when i tried talking to her she just kept mute."Jimmy how far after party na."
My friends came over to my table. In the heat of everything going on i had forgotten all about the VS tomorrow and of course the after party." Normal levels. " I replied trying to get into the conversation, I concluded that I needed to take my mind off this and focus on other things.
"Bad boy, sha no collect all the girls tomorrow, remain small for us " ife whined me. Ife the funniest of the lot.
"Leo how fa you na, which uni are you thinking off? " I chipped in, doing my best to get the conversation off me.
"Hmm, convenant"
"You way be say with dubbs you no fit pass" Ife teased.
We all laughed. Leo was the dullest of the group with out argument but he was also the wealthiest. His dad owned oils wells across states.
He didn't even seem offended.
" if that doesn't work out then I'm travelling out." He added, with all sense of pride. And it was possible, he could afford it."What about you?"one of them asked, bringing the conversation back to me.
I scratched my head a bit, i really hadn't give so much thought to it. Growing up as a child i had wanted to be a lawyer even though I didn't even know what they did at that time. I guess i must have heard it on tv or something. Alot of my mum's friends were already even calling her mama lawyer. Then getting into high school I wanted to be an engineer. Those guys really looked cool on tv. oh, now I'm sure I heard "lawyer" on tv too. But now I was not so sure what I want to be anymore, maybe a farmer lol.
My guys glared at me obviously still waiting for an answer..
"Uhm, UNILAG or Babcock I've not made up my mind yet"Ding dong ...
The alarm for closing bell rang and it was time for final rehearsals for tomorrow singing. My friends seemed to have gotten bored of the conversation as they were already scattering to get their bags to go home and i was left once again to my self.
Beep..
A notification. I carefully pulled it out from my back pocket. We weren't suppose to bring phones to school but nobody really kept to the rule, and as long as you don't get caught you're fine. But if you do, you might probably never see the phone again depending on which teacher nabbed you. Especially if it was Mr kazeem, then just go and buy a new phone or you'll have to bring your parents to school to get it back and trust me no student wanted that kind of drama. I always got my phone back when it was seized tho. It's part of the benefit that comes with being the head boy and teachers star pupil. If a teacher seized my phone, another teacher would help me get it back. I'm jimmy duhh.
Anyways it was a text from Ella.Ella: can we talk after your rehearsals.
Talk? Did she want to break up? Something about the way she said it made me worried.
