"I didn't mean it, Alois! It felt like someone was controlling me and I wasn't able to stop myself!" I shouted as Alois was looking at me with an expression of anger, hurt, and betrayal.
"Well, it looked like you mean't it! I saw the look in your eyes. It clearly stated that you did it on purpose!" Alois shouted back. I was holding in tears, not wanting to show any weakness.
"Alois, how many times do I have to tell you that I-" My head whipped to the side, accompanied by a stinging pain on my right cheek.
That was the last straw.
I felt tears stream down my face as I faced my twin, who was looking at me with a shocked look. I sobbed and ran away from him, ignoring his calls and kept running down the hall, down the stairs, and out of the mansion. I kept on running, not knowing where I was headed. As I was running, I bumped in to someone, causing me land on my bottom. I wiped the tears away from my eyes and looked up, coming face to face with Kurai, who had his hand held out to me.
"Are you alright, mistress?" I gladly took his hand and he pulled me up, and in to his arms. I yelped but didn't protest, my legs were burning from the non-stop running.
"Yes, I'm fine." I said, but I knew he knew I was lying. He smirked as he started floating in the air.
"You know, I don't appreciate liars, mistress." He said. I huffed and crossed my arms, looking away from him. He chuckled at my childishness. "Now, where do you wish to go?" He asked. I sighed and shook my head.
"I.... I don't know..." I replied. He sighed and started flying. I didn't protest. "Where are we going?" I asked quietly.
"To the Phantomhives. We are a long distance from them. So for know, mistress, rest." I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder, feeling the tiredness kicking in. "Goodnight, mistress." I yawned and snuggled closer to him and sighed.
"Night."
~ (A/N: This NOT, I repeat, NOT a love story about them.)
I woke up in a warm bed. I sat up, stretched, then looked around. I spotted Kurai, slouched in a chair, and he seems to be sleeping. I chuckled quietly, careful not to wake him up. I got out of bed and tip toed towards the door, glancing back to make sure that I hadn't disturbed his sleep, before leaving the room.
'Now that I think about it, he looked so tired...' I sighed and headed towards the right, not really knowing where it led to. As I turned around the corner, I bumped into a tall frame, causing me to step back and look up.
"Are you lost, m'lady?" Sebastian asked with his signature smirk.
"Well, I do believe I am." I replied.
"Well then, my young master had requested your presence in his office. Please, allow me to guide you." He turned back and started walking, me following him.
'I wonder what Ciel wanted. Though I think it's about me staying with him.' I thought to myself as we arrived in front of Ciel's office. I waited patiently as Sebastian knocked three times.
"Come in. Sebastian." Ciel said. Sebastian opened the door, motioning me to enter. I entered, Sebastian closing the door behind him.
"I have brought Lady Trancy, as you requested." Sebastian said with a bow, before walking to his master's side.
"Sit down, Aura." Ciel commanded, and I nodded, sitting down on of the seats in front of him. "Now, I was going to ask abo-" I cut him off with a sigh.
"I will tell you just as long as the demon stays outside keeping his ears to himself and not in other's conversation." I said, ignoring their surprised faces. Ciel sighed, and nodded reluctantly.
"Alright. As you wish. Sebastian, I order you to step outside and under any circumstances, do no listen to our conversation." Ciel ordered. I saw Sebastian frown, but reluctantly bowed.
"Yes, m'lord" Sebastian replied, before walking away, passing by me with a suspicious look, before stepping outside and closing the door. I sighed as Ciel motioned for me to start. I buried my face in my hands and started telling him what happened. He listened carefully. By the time I had finished, I had my emotionless face back on, my voice was a monotone.
"I see. I hope that you will be fine once Lord Trancy finally realizes his mistakes and actually apologizes." Ciel said as I nodded and stood up.
"If that was all you had wanted to know, excuse me th-" As I turned to leave, his voice stopped me.
"Wait." I turned back to him, questioning why he had stopped me. "What about that man you who had you in his arms." Ciel asked with a hint of.... Jealousy? No, I must be imagining things.
"Oh, he's just my...." I trailed of as I thought about what to call him.
'I can't call him my servant. That would be plain rude.' I was cut off of my thoughts as a knock echoed through out the whole room.
"Excuse me for interrupting but, I would like to introduce myself." Kurai said, stepping in. I sighed in slight relief as Kurai went to stand beside me. He bowed, similar to Sebastian's bow as he introduced himself.
"I am Kurai Hayashi, Lady Trancy's tutor." Kurai said as he straightened. "It is ve-" He was cut off as I gasped in pain. He instantly grabbed my arm, preventing me from falling over as I nearly fell. I grasped my side tightly, feeling pain.
"A-Alois...." I called out my brother's name. Kurai understood, lifting me in his arms.
"I apologize, but the introduction needs to be cut short. We will return shortly." Kurai didn't wait for Ciel's reply and jumped out of the window. I felt the color drain for my skin, turning it into a sickly pale colour.
"Tch. This is bad." Kurai said to himself, but even in my condition, I was still able to hear him perfectly fine. Kurai suddenly stopped, then turned back the direction we came from.
"Kurai, what's the matter?" I asked in a low, quiet voice. He sighed and started flying back. This time, in a normal pace.
"I do not want you to see this, mistress." Kurai said, his eyes full of sadness and regret.
"Huh? Why?" I asked, but Kurai just shook his head no, and ignored me. "Kurai, what is it?" I said raising my voice a bit, but he still ignored me. "Kurai, I demand you answer me!" I shouted, barely.
"Your brother is dead!" Kurai shouted back. I felt my blood run cold. Kurai looked down.
"Wh-what?" I asked. It just felt like my whole world shattered.
My brother.... My twin brother..... DEAD?
