I Could Really Use Somebody

Chapter 8

***Hayes P.O.V***

I found it very cute that Lauren fell asleep in my arms. I took the time to stare at her beautiful features. How can she be so insecure? She was beautiful! Long brown hair, perfectly rounded face, I could go on for days! I decided it was time to take her home, her mom is probably worried sick

I walked through her front door to see her mother on the couch. "Oh Hayes, what happened, is she alright?!" Lily exclaimed looking at Lauren's lifeless body.

"Oh she's fine she just got tired so I said I would carry her. I guess she fell asleep in my arms haha."

"Okay you can take her up to her room, first door on the left. I'm heading off to bed, I sleep on the couch." Lily said calmly.

I walked up the stairs and felt Lauren shuffling in my arms. She lightly opened her eyes. She opened her eyes wide and started to panic as I walked into her room.

"Hayes omg what are you doing?!" Lauren said nervously.

"I'm just placing you in your bed, you fell asleep in my arms at the park." I replied looking deep into her eyes. Damn those eyes.

"Okay..." Is all she could say when I really wanted to hear her talk forever.

I placed Lauren in her bed and placed the covers over her oh so gently. I began for the door.

"Hayes?" Her little tired voice managed to say. "Yes?" I replied. "Can you lay with me. This is a new house and I'm still kind of scared of it. I don't like to sleep alone..." She said nervously.

"Of course." I replied softly. I climbed into bed with her and put my hand on her hip pulling her closet to me. She flinched at my touch but then relaxed into my arms.

"Goodnight beautiful" I whispered into her ear.
