Winter. Of course it had to be Winter. Moon could have wanted to see any of our friends but she had to choose Winter. I know that Moon is in love with Winter. and she doesn't even know it! I have tried my best to steer her away from Winter and towards myself, but I just don't think it's working. I mean, sure, I won moon over at the beginning and even kept her long enough that she moved into the sand palace with me, but I can tell she was missing our friends. Correction: friend. She missed Winter. And only Winter. I mean, it makes sense since our other friends visit all the time, Kinkajou is almost always accompanied by Turtle and even though they haven't told anyone, I kind of figured out that they are now a couple. I was tired already and we were barely halfway there.

"How much farther?"

I was so startled I almost fell out of the sky.

Maybe half an hour? I quickly responded to her.

Are you sure? I don't think I can fly that far. Moon asked with a grin on her face.

Teasing is not nice at all. You are not being a good girlfriend. I responded.

I think I am an amazing girlfriend! She yelled indignantly as she proceeded to do half a dozen loops in the air.

Mmhm. sure moon, sure. Just then, I saw the rain forest and started beating my wings even harder. Shade! I practically yelled, there is shade, we can rest!

Are you sure? We could probably make it to Sanctuary by moon high if we keep going.

No. I stubbornly refused, I will sleep now and you will too. Its sundown and we will sleep. I continued as I lay down on my side basking in one of the only patches of sunlight.

Fine. Move your damn wing. I am not going to be cold tonight.

I lifted my wing and she settled on my other wing as I put my wing over her. This is nice. I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
