Tord's POV

I was working on finishing some paperwork, I was in a hassle, I wanted to get these done as soon as possible so I can get to work on the headset. I haven't gotten much sleep lately, but it'll be worth it. If that means I get to keep the last thing I've got left of happiness

I've lost my two other friends, I don't even know where they went. And all I've got now is the one who hates me, but the opposite for me. Fucking great- It's very hard to control myself. And I'm very scared, yes, scared. The infamous Red Leader is scared

He's all I've got left. And I don't plan on giving him away. He makes me happy and I'm not throwing away that happiness. Like who would throw away the last thing that makes themselves happy just for something stupid! I can't bare the thought of loosing him, or him getting hurt

I do want him to be safe. I'd protect him with my life. He's all I have... But just him staying by my side means a whole bunch to me. HE means the world to me. I'd give him my everything. He is MY world. The whole world is nothing compared to Thomas. I know it's weird to hear, I just love him so much

I heard a knock at my office door "Come in" I said, I heard the door open and an all to familiar voice chimed in afterwards

"Eyy, wassup Red?" She exclaimed

I sighed before laughing slightly "I'm fine Reality" I said bringing my gaze towards the energetic soldier who walked in "How 'bout you?" I ask

"I've been great!" Reality exclaimed shutting the door

"Could you try to keep it down? Thomas is resting, and I was working" I said

Reality grinned "Keyword, was" Reality said walking over and taking a seat "Wait- How would Tom even hear me from his room?" Reality asked

"He's in my room" I said

Reality glared at me "Did you do something to him?" She asked

"What? No, why would I? He just fell asleep and I brought him to my room" I said. Reality seemed a bit sceptical but shrugged it off nonetheless "Why're you here anyway" I said returning to my work

"Well, I wanted to know if Syvia and I could ask you two some questions of your past" Reality said

I froze for a minute "Why do you two want to know exactly?" I ask

"Well, I want to know what happened when you left to London, England" Reality said

I sighed "It really all depends on what you ask. Something to personal, I won't answer. And for Thomas, it'll most likely be the same. Just, I'm not going to wake him up, I want him to rest. Got that. Don't go waking him up just for this" I said

Reality nodded "Of course, Tord" Reality smiled

I looked up at her "Good, now you can go get you girlfriend so we can chat" I said

Reality blushed deeply "She isn't my girlfriend!" Reality protested

I smirked "But you wish she would be don't you~" I said teasingly

"Fuck you" Reality said covering her now red face

"Nah, Syvia can do that" I said my smirk never faltering

Reality turned a deeper shade of red "Shut the fuck up Tord!" She said clearly flustered

I chuckled "Now, now, no time to fuss. Go get your lady crush before I change my mind" I said waving her off

Reality, still flustered, left my office without another word. I couldn't help but chuckle. They'd be really cute together. Anyway, I decided to try and finish the few papers that are left. And I'll be able to get to work on the headset. The sooner I finish them, the sooner my dear Thomas will see again

I finished my work as Reality returned with Syvia a couple minutes after I started working with the headset. I've got everything pretty much done. I just need to double-check to make sure everything's wired right and in the right place

There are many components inside this device. It's small but it's an advanced system, and it works. But doing it from scratch can be a little challenging. It looks like a VR headset, but without the lense- because I haven't finished yet -but I know for sure this would work

It isn't my first time making one so it isn't much to difficult. But most of them are just temporary. Because the soldier eventually get their sight back- somehow-- don't question fanfiction logic -but again, Thomas is gonna need this for the rest of his life

If not, he will not be able to see. I want to make sure these are one hundred percent safe and there are no defects or anything because I don't want Tom to get hurt. But I've said that so many times already, you guys might as well are starting to get annoyed of my constant repeating. But it's true and I'll say it as many times as I need to

"Tord~! I'm back~!" Reality sang cheerily walking in dragging Syvia behind her

I sighed

And there goes my peace and quiet

I laughed at the thought, as if I could ever get peace and quiet with Reality around "I told you, keep it down" I said keeping my gaze on the device "You two take a seat, and please shut the door" I said motioning to the seats near the front of my desk still not looking up

I heard the door shut, as Syvia took a seat before Reality took her own in the one that was next to the one Syvia sat in. I glanced up seeing the two seated and ready "Hit me with your first question" I said

"Well, I was wondering, how did you and Tom become friends? Like he said, you two are, or were- I don't know -enemies" Reality asked "It just doesn't make sense" Reality said

I chuckled "Oh what a long time ago that was" I said "When I moved to London, my parents had entered me into a new school. But the fact I used to be bullied a lot in my old school, I never really tried to make friends. I was scared they'd turn on me" I said

"One day, Thomas was able to talk to me. We became friends and he introduced me to his other friends, Edd and Matt" I said "I wasn't to trusting with them at first, but the longer I was with them, the more trusting I became. But deep down I was still scared they'd turn on me" I chuckled "Oh but how things have turned. Instead of them, it was me" I said

"Are you saying when you were younger, you and Tom were friends?" Syvia asked

I nodded "Yea, we were quite close, closer then Edd and Matt were" I said

"Could you tell us more about Edd and Matt?" Reality asked

"Well, not really, I don't know much it's been a while sense we've been all together" I said "Reality, remember when I started the Army?" I ask

"Yea" Reality said

"Well I was living with them then, so I had to lie and say I went to the big city to accomplish my dreams. And I've been back at Norway since then, nine years I stayed there before going back" I said "I wasn't around for most of the time, so you'd need to ask Thomas for more" I said

I glanced to the picture frame on my desk before reaching over and grabbing it carefully "This, is one of the only pictures I've got left of us four in it" I said "Of course I've got ones that are older and from my childhood, but those are back in Norway. This is the only one I've got here" I said

"You girls want to see what Edd and Matt look like?" I ask looking up at them

"If you don't mind" Syvia said

I smiled warmly "It's quite alright" I said "Now, get up here" I chuckled motioning for the girls to come over. They stood up and walked over to me as I turned the frame showing it to them "Edd is the one in the green hoodie, and Matt is the ginger in purple" I said

Reality chuckled "They seem like nice people" Reality said with a smile

"They are" I said smiling back
