Chapter 8

It's been a week since Tim was at Heartland, after Lou explained everything Tim got up and walked out. Typical Tim. May take his brain a while to catch up.

They were all having breakfast, Lou, Ty, Lyndy and Jack n Lisa when the phone rang.
Lou answered and after a while she put the phone down and smiled.
" Our Girl is back home, but is in Edmonton at a special care unit. So at least we can visit her "
"That's good Lou it will be nice to see her and maybe us talking to her may help".
Two days later they all walk into Amy's room, as they get to her bed Lyndy pipes up "Momma" they all look and even though she was 6 months old when she last saw her mom she recognized her immediately, " Yes that's your Momma and I'm your Dadda, ". Ty put her down on the bed by the side of Amy and Lyndy curled up to her playing with her hair calling her. Lou was holding Katie's hand but tears were flowing down Lou's face as were Jack n Lisa, Ty wasn't any better off either.
After a while Jack n Lisa went to the Cafeteria leaving Ty and Lou. Both had one of Amy's hands in theirs.
Ty said to Lou how much older Amy looked after 2 years. "Well she is 21 now Ty" Lou said.
"Yeah, I sort of forget that as she was 19 when she left".
A few minutes later a Doctor walked in and introduced herself as Dr Philips, "I was approached by someone rather high up to see if I would take a look at Amy and see if I can find out why she's not waking up , the tests and scans show everything has healed so there has to be another reason, I have an experimental DMRI Scanner that goes deeper and zooms in 10 times bigger which could give us an answer, I just need a signature from a next of kin".
Lou takes the paper and signs it then asks the doctor not to mention that its Experimental as her Grandfather would not allow it, that's why as her sister she signed.
The doctor agrees saying  that it wont harm Amy as its basically the same as a normal MRI.
"How long till you can perform the scan." Ty asks.
"This afternoon sound okay to you " said Dr Philips with a smile.
The Doctor was looking at Lyndy curled up asleep next to Amy. "Her Daughter I assume" Yes, Our daughter still recognized her Momma even though she was only 6 months old when it happened" said Ty.
"Well let's see if we can reunite them shall we"
"Thank You" said Lou and Ty together as the Doctor walked out.
Jack and Lisa came in seconds later and Jack of course wanted to know who the Doctor was etc.
Lou explained leaving out the word Experimental. Jack n Lisa stayed and Lou and Ty went to the Toilets and Cafeteria while Lyndy was still asleep.
"Jack" "Yeah" " Cant get over how older Amy looks and with her own little girl ".
"I know Lise ,when Lou said she was our great Granddaughter and looked like Amy I went cold thinking we'd lost her."
"I know Love, I saw the look on your face ".
Just then some Porter's came in with a Nurse to take Amy for her scan.
The nurse nodded and told them she'd be back in 30 minutes, Lisa went over and lifted Lyndy gently off the bed trying to keep her sleeping which thankfully she did.
Jack messaged Ty n Lou to let them know what was happening.

45 minutes later Amy was brought back , Jack, Lisa, Lou n Ty were waiting. Dr Phillips came in and told them all that she had found the problem.
"It seems there was a bleed that couldn't be seen and its dried into a blood clot which is putting pressure on the part of her brain that controls sleep."
Lou asks if she can do anything if it's that deep in her Brain.
Dr Phillips says "Yes, there's two ways to go about it. First I'm going to drill a small hole so I can inject into the Blood Clot and Liquify it, then suck it out.
2nd we can attack the Clot through the hole breaking it up and suck the pieces out. Either way it will release the pressure., so I'm going to schedule Surgery for 10am tomorrow morning.

They all thanked her and Dr Phillips left. Ty said a prayer which he'd never done before much to everyone's surprise but they all said an Amen at the end.
They all decided to go home as there was nothing they could do and it was a good Long Journey home, Lyndy needed feeding and a bath and so did Katie who was being looked after by Peter in the Cafeteria.
When they got back Tim was waiting in the House, so Ty handed Lyndy to Lisa incase Tim started and this time Ty was not going to take any BS off him.
Just as Ty walked in Tim grabbed him pushing him out of the door saying he wanted a word with him as Jack started following them. He saw Tim hit Ty in the face again but Ty was ready and threw a roundhouse punch straight back at Tim knocking him out cold.
Jack stood there and whistled, blimey Ty that was better than I was going to do. "Yeah, well I think I may have bust a couple of fingers", and started laughing along with Jack.
Jack got a bucket of cold water throwing it over Tim's Head.
He started spluterring and got up shaking his head, saw Ty and went to have another go, Ty looked at him "Really Tim" ,then Jack shouted "ENOUGH TIM".
Tim turned round, "You know this is all your fault Tim, Amy wasn't going to leave, although she had started to pack up the Rig because of you going on at her all the time trying to control her and yes I'm at fault too but your the one who pushed her over the edge that night at Dinner that you weren't even invited too. So stop trying to pass your quilt to Ty".
"But he got her Pregnant, my little girl. "She's not your little girl, she was a grown woman who was 19 yrs old Dad, like Amy said that night, where were you for 10 yrs, and you can't talk either, what do you and your girlfriend get up to, Hypocrite "
Tim huffed and puffed and went to his truck and drove off.
"He's been drinking again" Jack said.
