LIFE was amazing for the beautiful, Aurora Petrova. Never would she have thought she'd be this happy and most of it was because of Kol.
In the small village, it was known to everyone that the two were smitten by each other. Always together, where one was, the other was right by their side.
The two young lovers shared a connection like no other, connecting in so many ways that no one will ever understand.
Perhaps the villagers would say they were soulmates, destined to be together until their last dying breath.
Even though Aurora was happy, there was still a part of her that was filled with sadness. Maybe it was because of her father, scared that one day he'll find her and Tatia.
Her father was a cruel, angry man. His anger was always getting the best of him, taking it out on Aurora and Tatia.
The two girls were once loved by him, he spent every moment with them. Making sure they were always happy and never sad, but soon it changed. Once he found out that Tatia was pregnant and Aurora wasn't biologically his.
When Tatia was with child, Aurora took the blame for everything so only she would have to face the wrath of her so called father.
So having enough, Tatia packed everything she could of hers and Aurora's, and they secretly fled. They did their best to make sure no spots were left behind for their father to find them.
The two sisters walked and walker until their feet lead them to the village that was filled with happiness and hope, Mystic Falls.

That night, cries were heard from the small bedroom of Aurora. Tatia runs in to see her little sister drenched in sweat and crying.
Grabbing ahold onto her sister, Tatia hugs her tightly, whispering sweet nothings.
The Petrova sibling hums her to sleep, gently laying her head on the pillow, she whispers. "Shh, I'm here Aurora."
The next morning, Tatia orders the younger sister to stay in bed today.
A knock brings her out of her thoughts, opening the door she sees Kol.
"Good morning Tatia, Is Aurora here? I haven't seen her this morning."
"Aurora won't be coming out today Kol."
"What's wrong with her? Is she okay?"
"Yes, she's just feeling a little under the weather. I'll tell her you stopped by."
Closing the door, Tatia goes to check on Aurora. As she walks into the room, she sees an empty bed. She called out, "Aurora?"
Looking frantically all over the place, she runs to the Mikaelson home. Seeing that the siblings were all outside, practicing their fighting. Tatia yells out "Elijah? Niklaus?"
Both brothers running to her, seeing her face filled with fear, they both ask her what's wrong.
"Aurora -"
Hearing her name, Kol joins his brothers to hear.
"Aurora's gone. I - I can't find her."
"What do you mean gone?" Kol asked.
"I ordered her to stay home today, she had a rough night. And when I went to check on her, she wasn't there."
The brunette had a feeling where his beloved Aurora was, so he reassured the older Petrova that he would go find her.

Walking into the meadow, he spots the beautiful brunette with her back faced to him.
As he steps closer to her, Kol called out, "Rora? We've been looking all over for you."
Sitting down next to her, Kol sees her tears running down her face. He places his hand under her chin, making Aurora face him.
"Why the tears, darling?"
Aurora opens her mouth to say something but she only lets out a sob.
Kol grabs her, placing his love on his lap while he runs his fingers along her back to soothe her.
As he continues, Aurora says, "My father was a cruel man, always taking his anger out on me and Tatia. But when Tatia was with child, I made sure to take all the hits so nothing would happen.."
Kol stays quiet at first, letting her finish the story of her so called father. He was full of anger, even more so when she explained how badly her father hit her.
Finishing up, Aurora says, "Last night, I had a nightmare. It felt so real Kol, I was scared."
Kol hugs her tightly, never wanting to let go. "Rora, for as long as I live, nothing will ever happen to you. I, Kol Mikaelson, will always protect you."
"I do not know what I would do without you Kol."
"I say the same thing, love."
As they hug each other in the meadow, the moonlight beaming onto them. They face each other, looking into each other's eyes.
Kol once again places his hand under her chin, looking at her eyes to her lips, silently asking for permission.
Aurora rolls her playfully, sealing the deal between them both. Both lovers being each other's first kiss.
Both of the soulmates, belonging to each other. Falling more in love, their souls simply didn't meet on accident.
