Of all questions why that? I suddenly felt my knees feel cold. What if this guy suddenly discriminate me because I don't believe in what he believes in?

My parents doesn't even know that I don't believe in imaginations. The only person who I've trusted that secret was Krystal. I am confident that she won't spill it to anyone because we share the same belief.

"I- I was p-praying!" I exclaimed. "Doesn't mean that you hear nothing means I am not doing it." I tried to sound annoyed.

He frowned. "You're a bad pretender. I know that you're not praying." He insisted. "C'mon Yanet." Niyugyug pa niya ang balikat ko.

"I'm telling you the truth." I answered. I can be honest with him about everything but not that.

"Aren't we best friends?" He asked and turned his gaze away. "This friendship sounds so unreal. Maybe, you are up to something that's why you asked-"

"Fine. I don't believe in God! O-or even any god!" I said.

I stared at his face but I see no change of expression at all. Does he already know? "Will you already back out from this friendship?" I asked boldly.

Umiling naman siya. "No, I just want to know."

"That's it. I don't pray because I don't believe in imaginations."

"Praying means connecting to him. It's a conversation that needs no internet connection or any-"

I rolled my eyes and cut him off. "I am not asking anything about prayers." This is what I'm expecting. He'll ask me questions and he'll try to change my views. Well, he might be even secretly judging me at the back of his mind.

Despite of what I said, he still continued. "We can pray anytime, anywhere and –"

"My gosh! Why can't you just respect me?" I asked. This guy is unbelievable. He's not just annoying and boastful. He also lacks respect!

"Sorry but I don't respect anything that leads to hell. You're my best friend, I can't let that happen." He said calmly.

His last sentence is sweet but his first words just proved that he is disrespectful. "You can't just let anyone believe in what you believe in. What's real for you is not real for me."

"Yanet, please allow me to change your mind." He said. Yeah, I saw this coming.

"Not because almost everyone believes in Him, means I also have to believe." I explained. "If you are really true to our friendship, you have to accept whoever I am."

He looked at the ceiling. "Aren't you curious why everyone believes in Him?"

"I am." I shortly answered. I am curious why you, an achiever thinks that a mere imaginary being exists. You are even asking me to allow you to change my mind.

What really is this God that people keeps on fooling themselves by believing that he could answer prayers?

"Then let me prove Him to you." He smiled using his usual big smile. Did I mention before that his smile is so annoying? Nakikita pa ang gilagid niya tuwing ginagawa niya ito.

"I know I cannot change you. The Holy Spirit will, and I am honored to be the instrument." He said.

What is he saying? He's playing hero here right?

"I did not agree yet." I said. "Look Lover, you can't just dictate things and expect me to believe. Again, why not just respect me?"

Umiling siya at bigla namang nawala ang mga ngiti sa kaniyang labi. "I'm afraid this friendship might end early if you won't allow yourself to at least try."
