Chapter 7

"Kanina ka pa, ako naman!" Reklamo ko kay Lover na hanggang ngayon ay wala paring progress sa claw machine.

"Fine!" Pagmamaktol niya.

Agad naman akong pumalit sakanya. I looked at the white teddy bear intently. I watched a tutorial on YouTube kung paano ang claw machine hacks that's why sa kaloob-looban ko, I'm confident that I'll win this.

"Oy! Did you... did you just did it?" Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Lover.

I nodded as I wave the white teddy bear in front of him. I feel so proud that I did it. I did not cheat though; I only gathered enough knowledge first. And my best point here also is that, hindi ako nagmayabang na makukuha ko ito kaagad.

Magmamayabang na lang ako mamaya. Gosh, I really feel so proud!

Whenever we have to try something, we always have to stay still. Counting the chicks when they are not yet hatched is not a good thing.

"Oh sige, what's the dare?" He asked.

I looked at him maliciously. "Are you not embarrassed? Feeling bad? Feeling defeated? Or what?"

He chuckled the he rested his arms around my shoulders. "I feel defeated."

"You should." I said.

"Of course, that's normal." He said casually.

Kumunot naman ang noo ko. "Hey, why does it look like it's not really a big thing?"

"It is a big thing." He said shortly.

"Then why are you so relaxed right now?"

"Oy, okay na...fine. You're right, I feel defeated. I feel defeated because I really wanted to get that white bear for you. It's a big thing because I just failed something that I promised to myself." He answered.

"Promised to yourself? What is it?" I asked.

"I promised myself to get that white bear for you."

I blushed and I felt the pounding inside my chest. This isn't good.

"I don't break promises." He assured. "And to answer your question about me, being relaxed... I feel relaxed because I found out that I don't really have to get it for you because you, yourself, you are able enough to." He added.

"You're wrong, I am not really able enough." I protested.

"How sure are you?" He asked.

"Well, I searched a claw machine hack on YouTube."

Yumuko naman siya para magtama ang mga paningin namin. "That's it!"

Kumunot naman ang noo ko sakanya. "What that's it?"

"It just proved that you are okay by yourself. Maybe you don't even need me to change your views. The answers are just there, somewhere. You just have to trust your capability to find them." He explained.

In a moment, I was stunned with what he said. Am I really capable of finding the answers? I tried doing that before but I stopped. What's done is done. What I believe is what I believe.

"How is that related to the claw machine?" I asked. Ang dami talagang satsat ng Lover na ito. Pakiramdam ko tuloy bumabalik nanaman ang inis ko sakanya.

"Our aim is to get the white bear. I am here to help you, to get it for you. But to my dismay, I failed. Because of my multiple failures, you decided to do it by yourself. You focused on the target and you even came prepared. That's why with no doubts, you managed to accomplish our aim."
