𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓉𝓌𝑜

Yamaguchi was bored. He leaned on the counter and watched people walk by the cafe. It wasn't a busy day, maybe two or three people were actually in the shop. He sighed "Sugaaaa I'm boreddddd" he whined slightly "I wanna go to the club alreadyyyy!" By "club" he meant the Karasuno Surf Club. That's where he made friends, they all hung out in the sandy clubhouse or at the beach. They entered surf competitions together, ate ice pops on hot days, and decorated their boards together.

"I know Yams, just until noon, then we're off for the rest of the day" Suga stood Yamaguchi up. The bell above the door tinkled and Daichi walked in. "hey Koushi" he smiled at his silver haired boyfriend. Yamaguchi pouted and got back to work.

' I want a boyfriend to call me cute names too..' he thought to himself while cleaning the coffee machine. He spent the last few hours in the cafe cleaning tables, making orders, and wishing he was at the beach.

Yamaguchi took off his uniform apron and went to go meet up with Suga and Daichi outside the shop. "Did you clean the house? Did you put sheets on the bed? Are you sure? You cleaned up our bedroom? okay good" Suga kissed Daichi's forehead. "oh hi Yams, Daichi brought our swimsuits so we can go directly to the clubhouse" he smiled. Daichi, Suga, and Yamaguchi walked together the the club. The clubhouse was a bit bigger than Yamaguchi's home but that's because there was no bedrooms, just a big living room and a kitchen.

Suga opened the door "hey kids! I'm here!" Suga opened the door to see Tanaka harassing Kiyoko and Yachi, the only girls in the club. Yachi looked about ready to cry and Kiyoko protected her. "Tanaka.." Suga stood over the boy with the buzz cut. "shoot-" Tanaka said under his breath. "what do you think you're doing?" Suga dragged him by his shirt away from the girls. Suga scolded Tanaks in the corner while Yamaguchi went to go get an ice pop.

He came back and sat with his usual group which consisted of Hinata, Kageyama, Nishinoya, Asahi, Daichi, and Suga. The last one was still lecturing Tanaka. Yamaguchi cronched his popsicle as Hinata told him about the huge crab he found. "it was so big! like this big!" he stretched his arms out "and then I picked it up and went to go show Kageyama and I was like 'Kageyama look! it's so bigggg!' but he just yelled at me and told me to get it away from him so I put it back after showing it to Yachi" he said. "cool" Yamaguchi said.

The group of boys walked along the beach with their surfboards. Everyone in the group had someone to talk to, whether it be a boyfriend, a best friend, or a crush. Yamaguchi had friends but he felt like he was a third wheel to all the relationships in his club. They neared the water and Yamaguchi pushed those thoughts aside. The group set up their umbrellas and towels before heading into the water to surf. They paddled out into the water. It took patience to surf and Yamaguchi had that. He laid on his board and waited for a good wave. He watched Kageyama and Hinata compete for a wave, both falling into the water. He laughed.

He finally caught a wave, it was a big one. It scared Yamaguchi a bit, he was worried he'd fall off his board. He didn't though. The view from the top of a wave was always the best. You were above everyone and everything. Yamaguchi looked at the umbrellas placed around the beach, his clubmates on their boards, kids swimming around in the water. He smiled as the wave crashed down, it gave his stomach butterflies and he loved it. "Wow! Yamaguchi that was so cool! That wave was like wahhhhh! and you were just on top of it like eeeeeee!" Hinata's eyes sparkled as he described Yamaguchi on top of the wave. He blushed "thanks Hinata" he brushed his green hair out of his eyes.

"oh shoot, it's almost three-" Daichi looked at his phone. The group stopped to have a snack. "My new housemate is arriving soon so I gotta go back to make sure he gets in okay.." Daichi stood up and got his board. "Koushi, Yamaguchi I'll see you at home." He gave his boyfriend a kiss and ran off in the direction of their small beach home. Yamaguchi swam around in the salty water for a bit, his head diving under the water for a few seconds at a time. Suga swam next to him, diving down to collect rocks and shells. "Yams look!" He swam over to Suga. Suga held a small clam. "do you think it has a pearl inside?" the older boy asked. "I dunno, let's go to the shore and open it up" Yamaguchi suggested.
