𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒻𝑜𝓊𝓇

Yamaguchi took his shoes off and walked across the wet beach leaving footprints behind him. His feet were cold but the sound of the waves and the rain hitting his umbrella were relaxing. He looked up at the sky, it was covered by a grey blanket of clouds. He sighed, there would be no surfing today. He continued walking along the muddy beach. He pulled out his phone and looked at the time. "I should get to work.." he mumbled to himself.

Yamaguchi stood behind the counter welcoming wet customers looking for a warm place to hang out for a while. The coffee shop was the perfect place. A long line of people stood at the registers. Suga placed orders calmly while Yamaguchi made them. "Tall black coffee for Tsukkishima!" he called out. He hadn't expected to see his roommate here but it was a nice surprise. "Enjoy" he smiled. Tsukki nodded in response and went to go sit down. Yamaguchi watched him. His golden brown eyes looked down at his phone through his black rimmed glasses, his pale blonde hair was wet from outside as well as his black hoodie. Tsukkishima was a tall person, 6'2" at least. "Yams! Yamaguchiiii-hello? Yams! pay attention!" Suga's voice snapped him out of his daydreams. "right! sorry-" he got back to work.

At last Yamaguchi and Suga's shift was over. He hung up his apron and grabbed his umbrella. He saw Tsukkishima sitting on a couch in the cafe using the free WiFi. He walked over to him. "Hey..I was wondering-since it seems like you have nothing to do..if you wanted to come hang out at the surf club with me and my Friends??" he asked shyly. Tsukkishima looked up at him from under his glasses. "no thanks." He didn't say why or give an excuse, just blunt and straight to the point. "ah-okay.." Yamaguchi blushed with embarrassment.

Yamaguchi leaned against the wall looking at his phone. He could hear the rain hitting the roof of the clubhouse. Things went as usual, Tanaka pestered the girls, Kageyama and Hinata were fighting, and Suga and Daichi supervised. "Hey Yamaguchi, what's up?" Asahi walked over to the green headed boy. "Ah not much, I'm just a bit nervous about my new roommate...how about you?"

"Mm things have been pretty calm lately, my anxiety never fails to act up though." He laughed nervously. Asahi always had problems with his overactive anxiety. Yamaguchi was there to help. The two boys sat next to each other and talked for a bit.

It was getting dark outside so people started heading home. Yamaguchi said goodbye to Asahi and walked back to his beach house with Suga and Daichi. When they walked into the house Tsukkishima was on the couch watching TV. "Hey" Tsukki said not even bothering to look at them. The group left their shoes by the door "hello Tsukkishima-san" Suga said politely. Yamaguchi sat next to Tsukkishima on the couch awkwardly. Daichi and Suga went to get ready for bed.
