Such was the life of Durga Gupta. The daughter of a wealthy politician Arjun Gupta and Simran Gupta. She was their only child and they cherished dearly.Arjun had always wanted to get Durga married to a rich man, who would take care of Durga's needs but somehow she always managed to send them away.
How she did it was what Arjun didn't know, which made him very furious with her. They were both at each other's neck, one for trying to get the other married and the other for always making his plan unsuccessful.
"You won't stay in this house forever Durga." He had once told her after a suitor rejected her per her wishes.
Durga was calm and wouldn't react as she wanted because of Simran. She was indeed in love but not with the type of person her father would have wanted for her. Making her father understand this would prove to be difficult which was why the secret stayed between her, Simran and Sargum.
"What will you do today Durga?" Simran asked "I don't know mum, although Meera will be coming over." Durga said gloomy.
"You don't have to be sad just because Sam hasn't called yet." Sargum teased.
"How did you know that?"
"This isn't the first time child. Tell you what... when he calls, invite him over." Simran replied.
"But dad..."
"He isn't around right? And you heard him earlier. He won't be available for the most of today." Simran reminded.
"It will be a full house." Sargum yelled when Sameer called
"Sorry, I couldn't call earlier."
"It's okay Sam, you had to meet your uncle. You told me last night."
"I knew you'd understand."
"That doesn't mean that you should do it every time." she replied "I know, Laila sends her regards ."
"Alright..are you busy now."
"No, I'm not, Is there something you want?"
"My mum wants you to come over."
"Did I do something wrong?"
"Must you be at fault before coming over?" he chuckled "I thought you'd be worried about your dad."
"He isn't around, I want you to be here at noon."
"Fine, I'll come over."
"Love you."
"Love you too." Sameer answered and Durga hung up."Is he coming." Sargum excitedly asked "Yes and I am hungry."
"Help yourself Durga, you're not a child anymore." Simran answered.
