"Vardaan, it's good that you made it, you're looking superb." Durga complimented as Meera and Vardaan walked hand in hand.
"My friend, you're looking beautiful, happy Diwali to both of you." Meera embraced Durga as she wished her a happy Diwali.
"You two are looking great." Sargum pointed to the girls; Durga in her red embroidered silk lehenga choli and Meera in her red Punjabi Salwar suit.
"Thanks sargum. You don't look bad yourself." Meera replied.
"Don't flatter me Meera, you should put up some lamps."
"Yes Sargum, we will."
"Is Sameer coming?" Vardaan asked "He can't Vardaan, my father is here."D urga stopped when her phone rang and she held it up to her eyes.
"Speak of the devil."
"He's not a devil Sargum, he's my angel."
"Whatever, you better answer it now."
"It's a video call, I have to go." Durga said and walked out of the room.
"Happy Diwali" Sam and Durga said in unison."You're looking gorgeous Durga"
"And you look quite handsome. I love the red sherwani you have on."
"Thanks, you know I don't know how to give complements on ladies outfits."
"You've already told me that I'm looking gorgeous, that's more than enough."
"Fine, my mum is here." Sam said and called on Rano.
"Aunty Rano happy Diwali."
"Happy Diwali my child, how are you?"
"I'm good aunt and you?""I'm okay." Rano was interrupted by Laila who came running in.
"Who is it Sam?"
"It's Durga"
"You didn't even tell me." she hissed "You have her number and you can call her anytime you want."
"What is that meant to mean?"
"Laila you are really something else."
"Don't mind him Durga. He's been naughty lately. How are you?" Laila ignored Sam and turned to the phone.
"I'm fine, love your outfit Laila." Durga replied as she admired Laila's red silk saree.
"And yours too."
"Umm...Durga, I and Laila will go now. We have already disturbed yours and Sameer's conversation. We'll talk later."
"Okay aunt, have a wonderful evening."
"Don't mind Laila. She's been a bit crazy since the past few days."
"Stop that Sam, she's your cousin."
"I know, how is the atmosphere there?"
"My dad held a party here, Vardaan and Meera are also here but I really wish I was with you Sam."
"Don't bother about that. I'm on my way there."
"How would you get in, my dad is here."
"I don't care Durga, I'll get in somehow and get to you as soon as I'm in."
"Okay. Be careful."
