Shit.
Shit, shit, shit, shit.
I knew I'd done something terribly irreversible when I woke up on my couch, my phone under my head, and a call-history with Samuel of half an hour, placed last night.
I shot up, greeted with a sharp pain behind my eyes, and pressed my hands against my cheeks as bits of the conversations recovered in my brain. Good God. I fucked up.
Rolling of the sofa, trying to get my limbs working again, I tried to think of ways to have a different Special Agent working with me. Maybe I could convince Agent Laghari to talk to me instead, and if that wouldn't work out, I'd have to move back to the UK.
I groaned, bumping my head against the floor in despair. Why didn't he just hang up when the cannabis started kicking in?
I tried to get up from the cold, wooden floor, when Luka entered the room, probably waked by my angry groans.
"Are you okay?" His voice was slow. "Wait, let me help you." He tried to lift me up, but was also drained from any physical force, and plopped down on the floor with me instead.
"Did you sleep in my bedroom?" I asked him, perplexed that he was still here.
"Yeah, well, you shooed me away yesterday to talk to that sugardaddy of yours, saying I should go to bed or something. Diane is in her own bedroom, as well. I don't know where Julia ran off to."
I whimpered at the mention of Samuel and huddled into a ball on the floor.
Luka bowed over me, shoved a curl from my face and patted on my side, trying to get up again. "Don't be such a baby. Everyone is stupid when they're stoned, he knows that too, probably."
"Wait, we have school, don't we?" I stared at him and he stared back, as we realized that it was, in fact, Tuesday. Why did we decide on this, again? Luka searched for a clock as I got my phone to check the time. "Half past eight. We can still make it..."
I gathered all my strength and got up, lifting up Luka in the process.
"Can I shower?"
"If you hurry up. I need to go as well," I called, barging into Diane's room, where I found her with Julia, a friend of ours.
I let out a gasp, seeing them laying, both completely naked, in each other's arms, and quickly closed the door behind me before Luka could witness the same.
"Diane!" I hissed.
She lifted a lazy head as I observed the hickeys on her neck. Jesus, I had no idea she swung that way as well, and I had lived with her for over half a year.
When she squinted her eyes against the light and saw me, her eyes widened. She turned to Julia, laying peacefully next to her, breasts pressed against hers, and now her eyes literally bulged out.
"Jesus Christ..." she whispered, shooting up, face reddening rapidly, and turned to me again. "What... the fuck. She was, like, so good."
I exhaled, not able to hold back a relieved smile. "That's great. The thing is, it's Tuesday. Eight thirty. You have college."
Diane squealed and jumped out of bed, waking Julia in the process, who looked as flabbergasted at the unexpected bedpartner as Diane.
"Oh my..." I heard her softly whisper as I left the room, finding Luka curiously eyeing the opening before I shut it quickly.
"No way. I'd love to have seen that. Why did I choose your room last night?" He pouted, genuinely looking bummed.
"Why aren't you in the shower yet?" I returned the question sarcastically. "Hurry up."
