I should answer your questions first, I know that, but I'm dying to tell you something. Yesterday, Professor Gallagher, you know, the one I always talk about, he complimented me! He meant he was proud of me! He said he was going to recommend me to a big company for an internship! I'm sorry, but I just have never been happier in my life. I even hugged him on impulse, which became really awkward really fast. I'm such an idiot sometimes. Well, actually, most of the time. But let's get on to the real letter now.

The FBI did release me as an asset after Johann stopped contacting me, so you were right. It feels kind of weird, Agent Saunders and Agent Laghari were pretty nice. Pretty, pretty nice. The new one, Agent Lloyd, he and I went to the movies one time to celebrate that I can finally focus on my studies. Or something. Sam got really mad with me, as you may have guessed.

I don't need to come home for summer, by the way. I will for a little while, of course, but the renovation of my apartment won't take as long as I thought it would. Plus, I can always live with Diane's parents for a few days, she said I could. Or crash at you-know-who's (does dad still read these letters?). How's Jamie's girlfriend, by the way? Oh, questions last, oops.

I couldn't quite get used to Johann's absence. I know you don't like me talking about him, but no one wants to hear. And I want to tell. It feels empty when I know he's not around anymore, watching me. No, I am not being dependent or obsessive, I'm being sensible. He was a pretty big part of my life, you know. Criminal or no. I'm afraid for him. Even though I know he played the FBI and me and The Aliens like toys in his big game, I'm afraid for his mind.

Diane and Julia threw a birthday party for me, by the way. I swear, I didn't see it coming. I swear it. You always say I see through everything, but I didn't, at all. But it was really fun. They gave me the most stupid gifts ever, like super, super sexy lingerie, but you know that already. It doesn't even fit me, the bra's way too big. But it was still a nice gesture (please don't tell me dad still reads the letters).

Can you tell Jamie Sam has no problem taking him somewhere fun when you come and visit me? Like, I don't know, go golfing or something. He really doesn't mind, I checked one thousand times. You know, the man can be sweet if he tries. And maybe, while we're at it, we could make him and dad take a walk or something. Or would that be too much? Samuel and dad are super alike. YES DAD, really! Like, you both like Led Zeppelin. That should say enough. I really hope you can like him, dad, not that there would be any reason to, of course (you can show him this part).

Mama, I miss Johann, and you too. How's Jamie's girlfriend? And how are you and dad? Is your boss still an ass? Oh, and how's Mr. Cooley, how're his lungs? That reminds me, Donald's shoulder is now completely okay. If you cared to know. I'm really looking forward to when you're coming to the US. again. Take a lot of apple-pie, okay? Sam is wild for them.
