'Did you get the stuff?' Jennie whispers.

'Of course. I'm not an idiot okay.' Wooyoung says as he sneaks into the room with a tray of food. He places it on her lap and secretly takes out a can of beer.

'I love you you know.' Jennie says and hides the beer under the blanket.

'What do you say?'

The two looks behind and sees Seonghwa leaning against the door with crossed arms.

'Oh gosh I'm stuck in a love triangle ain't I? Imma go before I get beheaded.' Wooyoung says and runs off, squishing through the door quickly.

Seonghwa closes the door behind him and approaches the bed.

'Are you jealous because I said I love you to Wooyoung?' Jennie says with a blank expression.

'I'm not a child you know, I know what he sneaked in.' Seonghwa says and puts out his hand.

Jennie sighs in defeat and puts the can of beer in his hand. She pouts and sits back in bed, with a frown on her face.

'You happy now?' Jennie says and crosses her arms.

Seonghwa chuckles and pats her head.

'Eat your dinner.' Seonghwa says and unbuttons his shirt. He's used to being topless in his room and he keeps it that way despite having Jennie in his room.

Besides, he likes how she's more flustered when he is.

'Do you have to take off your shirt when I eat?' Jennie says as she begins to eat.

'What? You don't like it?' Seonghwa teases.

'Whatever.' Jennie says and keeps eating.

'I know you love it really.' Seonghwa says and smirks. He goes to take off his shoes to put on his slippers.

'Have you eaten?' Jennie asks.

'No, I was busy with papers.' Seonghwa says and sighs due to tiredness.

'Aren't you going to eat then?' Jennie asks. She's eating pretty late on purpose since Wooyoung was sneaking in a beer, and she hasn't been hungry because of her medication.

'Mrs Kim is going to prepare it now so I'll have it here in a bit.' Seonghwa says and goes to his bathroom.

He quickly showers having worked for the whole day, also meeting some guests from other towns.

Since Nayeon got arrested, royalties from other kingdoms have been visiting with their princesses, wanting to gain his liking.

After he finished showering, he exits to see Jennie's dinner still looking untouched. He goes to sit on the bed next to her.

'Are you not hungry?' He asks the girl.

'Not really. I've been losing my appetite lately, laying in bed for so long is making me feel weird.' Jennie says and sighs.

Seonghwa goes to the girl and reaches for her hand, he squeezes it as he does.

'You wanna go for a walk?'

The mere question makes Jennie's face brighten up.

'Yes!' Jennie says excitedly and he chuckles. 'My leg is actually all healed up now.'

'Lets go then.'

Despite being only in his dressing gown, Seonghwa pulls the girl up and takes her outside. Seonghwa holds Jennie's hand as they walk slowly around the garden.

'Gosh I missed the fresh air.' Jennie says as she takes a deep breath as they walk on the grass.

'When you're all healed up, you can go out more.' Seonghwa says and Jennie nods.

'Yea sure feels like I'm being trapped in a prison.' Jennie says and glares playfully at the male.

'It's only safe if you stay here. I'm sure he'll try something if you're not kept safe like this.' Seonghwa says and sighs.

'Okay dad.' She jokes.

They arrive upon the small pond of the garden, and they stop as they both look up at the night sky filled with stars.

'I'm still amazed by how pretty the sky looks in the capital.' Jennie says.

Seonghwa releases her hand and proceeds to hug her from behind, resting his chin on her head.

'You look prettier.' Seonghwa says, making the girl scoff.

'I see cheesy Seonghwa's back.' Jennie says and he chuckles.

'It's madly in love Seonghwa speaking.' He replies and Jennie feels a kiss on her head.

'Cheesy and clingy Seonghwa.' Jennie says.

'Are you done teasing me?' Seonghwa says and she shakes her head.

'Nah it's fun to tease you.'

Seonghwa chuckles and squishes his cheek into her head.

'You know, I was wondering how it would be after this is all over.' Jennie says as she grabs his arm, loving the feeling of his arms around her.

'How do you think it'll be like?' Seonghwa asks.

'I don't know. The king will probably be against... this.' Jennie says, sounding insecure and sad.

Seonghwa releases the girl and turns her around. He stares deeply into her eyes, wanting to reassure her. He strokes her cheek as he smiles.

'I love you, okay. I would never marry another woman. Even if the king is against this, I'll fight for you.' Seonghwa says and Jennie sighs.

'It's easier said than done...'

Jennie looks into the ground, but Seonghwa pulls her to look back up at him. He then leans in and kisses the girl slowly and deeply.

His hand goes to rest on the back of her head and her waist, while she hugs him softly as one of her arm is still in a cast.

After kissing the hell out of the girl, he leans away and places a soft kiss on her lips before resting his forehead on hers.

'I'm so in love with you, I won't let anyone take you away from me, not even the king.'
