"What's your favorite dessert?" she asked the woman lying under her.

"Huh?" Irene's eyes flew open. "Dessert?"

"Yes." She kissed the surprised woman's lips then moved to the corner of her mouth then to her cheek, leaving smaller pecks on her jawline and ended up at her ear. She blew the shell and felt her squirm.

"W-why so random?" asked Irene.

"I like cupcakes," she whispered then flicked Irene's earlobe with her tongue, grinning to herself when she heard a suppressed moan.

She couldn't believe how shy Irene was. It was nothing like the confident, mysterious person she met that night outside the club.

She had asked Sooyoung, and even Yeri whom Irene had introduced as her closest dongsaeng-slash-friend.

"That's how she really is. That's the Irene we had gotten to know before it all happened," answered Sooyoung.

"She's, by nature, a timid and kind yet witty person. A bit dorky at times but definitely not flirty, rough or a player," added Yeri.

Her heart broke when she heard that, realizing how bad it must have been for Irene to change; and to have to force herself to change again when she thought that the love of her life didn't like her true self and thus had forgotten her.

Since then, she had been trying to somehow make up for what happened even though she knew Irene would never realize it.

She didn't care. She just wanted Irene to feel her love. She wanted to show her how much she loved who she was.

However, unlike their second time together, this third time went much slower.

They did end up in Irene's bed after that meeting outside the café but after that, Irene freaked out a bit and asked Wendy to take it slow. She said she wanted to keep seeing Wendy but she didn't want it to just be about sex.

Besides being unexpectedly shy, Irene was also quite busy with her job at the university research center so inevitably, they couldn't spend as much time together as Wendy wished.

But Wendy would never stop trying nor would she leave. She would do anything Irene ask of her to make sure they stayed together this time.

"C-cupcakes?" stuttered Irene when Wendy's hand glided lower.

"Mmhmm. Red velvet cupcakes," she whispered after she had released the flesh she had been nibbling on and changed position, propping herself up with both arms by the sides of Irene's head, trapping the woman under her.

"O-oh. That sounds delicious," said Irene, looking up at the eyes that she always considered mesmerizing since the first time she looked into them that night outside of the café; that night when she uncharacteristically went against her logic and took up the unknown woman's offer to share a cab.

"I'll bake you a batch tomorrow." She then dove down to recapture Irene's lips.

Irene's hands hesitantly moved, landing ever so gently on Wendy's backside, afraid to fully press her palms on the skin.
