*Daniel's perspective*

Her brown eyes were captivating me into them every time I saw her beautiful picture in my phone whenever I was alone. I just couldn't stop the smile that formed everytime I do this. This is something different, something so enchanting happening to me and I like it.

It's been a month since we've been dating, I couldn't deny that I might be in love with Lorraine, yet I haven't asked her officially to be my girlfriend. I didn't even feel the need from the way we kissed everytime we said goodbye to each other, its like we're already in a relationship and our hearts have spoken what needs to be. I let a smile come across my face when I kept my phone aside and got back to work.

After a few minutes, there's a knock on my door. When I permitted whoever was behind the door to come in, a man about my age with bright blue eyes and blonde hair stepped in.

"Daniel Wilson?" He asked glued at his place.

"Yes, may I know who you are?" He was wearing a suit alike me and by his persona I could tell he was a businessman. Someone from dad's clients, I thought.

"I'm Caleb Stewart." I nodded and asked him to take a seat in one of the two chairs in front of me. After he was comfortably seated, his eyes wasted no time in scanning my cabin before they landed on me and he smiled.

"How may I help you?"

"Um...since you don't know me properly, and a sibling of mine has caused some trouble to you, I'm here to apologize." I frowned instantly on what he said.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm Emily's stepbrother." The rage that had been suppressed, stormed back in with full intensity, and I felt my fist curl up almost digging my finger nails into the skin.

"Who do you think you are to--"

"Wait, I'm on your side." He mumbled throwing his hands up in surrender. I needed to calm down but I was left with nothing but confusion. Why would her own brother be on my side!

"What?"

"I could never be supporting a criminal, even if it's my own stepfather." I took a deep breath in process of digesting this situation. It was kind of Caleb to come here and meet me personally, but defying their own family could be suspicious.

"What makes you think I'll trust you?" I sneer folding my arms on the table as I see him roll his eyes and plop back on his seat.

"The fact that I'm not close to Emily's father, and that he can never take the place of my dad." He says in a matter of factly way. I study him for a while, he was looking me right in the eyes and his stature screamed confidence. I could tell when a person is lying by his body language, but I knew Caleb was telling the truth.

"So what do you want from me?"

"I'm assuming you to be smart enough to acknowledge what he's actually up to and how he's using Emily for this." He stated coming straight to the point.

"Your assumption is correct. But your sister still doesn't have the right to pretend as if she owns me."

"It's just her genes, and the rest is her borderline personality disorder." My eyes widen upon this realisation. Of course she behaved like a crazy person, but I never imagined her to have a disorder.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know--"

"You have nothing to be sorry about. There's no doubt Emily had been head over heels for you, and she had even moved on as she grew up. She was diagnosed recently when your name was instilled back into her. The other day she was out for treatment with mom, and I was in her room," He put his hand in his pocket taking out a bottle of pills. "When I found this."
