How could we forget her birthday?!
While Rebecca explained to the boys what we were freaking out about, I was collecting the things that we were taking to Sam's hospital room. For Sam's birthday I planned on decorating her hospital room for her so it would feel like her own.
She was always complaining about how plain and ugly the room was so I thought that this was something that she would be extremely excited about. I bought all of the stuff a couple of weeks ago so luckily, we didn't have to go shopping.
After I collected up the things I went back downstairs. Rebecca and Selena were standing by the couch waiting on me. I didn't see the boys around.
Where are they?
"They had to leave. It was an emergency, they said" Selena answered like she knew exactly what I was thinking. I nodded my head before walking out to my car with my arms full of different decorating materials.
I couldn't help but feel a sad feeling in my chest when I was told that Ryder had to leave so soon. I didn't know why I felt sad, I mean it wasn't like I wasn't ever going to see him again. He just had to leave. I shook my thoughts away as I put Sam's things in my trunk.
I got into my car as both Becca and Selena got into their own.
When we finally got to the hospital, I ran into the building with everything in my arms. I had talked to the nurses and doctors and I had also talked to the head of the hospital staff. They were all okay with me decorating her hospital room as long as I didn't paint it.
Which was okay because I had painting's, picture's, and poster's to hang up on her walls. I had some of her friends and the nurses keep her busy so that we could decorate her room. Becca, Selena, and I started on her room as soon as we entered.
Becca and Selena took care of hanging things on the walls as I decorated her furniture. I took her plain hospital blankets off of her bed and placed some pink bedsheets on top. I found a cute bedspread that had little bunnies all over it and I thought that it fit perfectly for Sam so I got it.
I covered her hospital bed in stuffed animals and pillows. Some of her stuffed animals she already had here before and some were new. I lied a fluffy white circle rug on her floor. I also purchased a giant beanbag that had pink flowers on it. It was extremely soft like a blanket. I put that in the corner of her room.
Rebecca and Selena filled their trunks with the rest of the things I got. They had also gotten her things too. They put the things they brought from their cars in a corner of the room so it would be out of the way.
I put an already put together, tiny bookshelf beside her beanbag. I filled it with princess books and cute snow globes.
Moving the bed was the hardest thing to do because it was really heavy. I don't know why because it had rollers on it, but it took all three of us to move it. We put it up against the furthest wall from the door so that she could see out of the window whenever she wanted to.
Putting her stuffed animals and pillows on her bed before moving it probably wasn't the best idea because they ended up falling off once we started pushing the bed.
I moved the hospital nightstand out of her room and put in a white one with a cute bunny lamp on top. Her mini fridge was moved from a corner of her room to beside her beanbag. After I was finished with the furniture and everything I sat back and looked around her room.
When it was finished it was amazing. Becca and Selena had put up twinkly lights around her room. Her walls were covered in cute paintings and posters. There were some pictures that they hung up that had us in them.
