It's been a super long time since I updated, and I'm super sorry. School has been driving me crazy, especially with midterms and all, but it's finally break again so I'm going to try to update as often as possible. Thank you so much bearing with me and for reading! I love you all!
In the car, I couldn't help but to pull out my chem homework. I should have done it last night, but I didn't obviously, so I might as well do it now when I couldn't do anything else. I had barely taken it out and set it on one of my binders when Taylor glanced over, no exaggeration, glanced, and solved it. I was confused at first, it just sounded like a group of letters and numbers, but I checked it and he was right. That didn't happen.
"How did you know that?" I asked, trying not to sound too bewildered. He laughed again. He laughed a lot for someone who scared the shit out of me.
"When I was in college I took a few science classes that interested me before I dropped out. They were really the only reason I applied and I quit after that much. I like sciences." He said, and I watched his face. He never looked at someone when he was talking to them unless they were ahead of him. He always stared straight ahead.
"That's amazing, though. You can be at the top of your class and not do this kind of thing on sight! How, I mean, just how do you do that?" I didn't try to hide my shock this time. He just shrugged, though, and kept driving. I couldn't look away though. It was just so insane that someone could do that. He must've been a genius, nothing short of brilliant. I had to refrain myself from asking why he threw his life away on drugs. I was doing the same thing.
Neither of us spoke again until he pulled into his driveway. His house was kind of fantastic. It was still close to the town but it was so surrounded by trees, it was like a forest in the middle of the suburbs.
"So, you want to see the lab?" He asked, pulling his keys out and turning to me.
"Will it kill me in any way?" I questioned nervously and he wrinkled his eyebrows subtly.
"Do I look dead in any way?" He countered and I shook my head, a little embarrassed of how serious I had been in asking the question. He just smiled at me again, though, and it was almost shocking to see how kind and average he looked. For all I knew he just killed someone.
I followed him into his house, the ordinary yet almost beautiful house that was the perfect looking place to raise a family. He walked over to the door that led to his basement and turned to me.
"If you go in there you have to take your clothes off, just a warning." He spoke calmly and I gaped at him.
"What the hell? No! Why would I do that, are you some kind of a sick fuck like that?" I almost screamed. He just looked mildly amused as always.
"Relax. You're clothes just have chemicals in them and I don't want to risk fucking up the drugs I have down there. You don't have to take all of them off, just most, okay? I'm not going down like this either."
My mouth formed an 'O' but I couldn't make the sound escape so instead I leaned over to start taking off my shoes. He smiled again, it was starting to become unnerving how often he did that, and followed my lead, pulling off one of his combat boots.
I couldn't stop staring at him. I wasn't just looking because he was attractive, which he was, but I was afraid to see his reaction to me. I was skinny, like unnaturally skinny. I went through this time when I used to eat as much as I could in hopes of being more normal looking, but it didn't work. It wasn't even a good skinny like Sarah-Beth. Sarah-Beth was fit, she had abs and she was athletic. I was just skinny.
He didn't even seem phased by stripping in front of a near stranger. I wondered if he was that confident or if he just didn't care. I was extremely hesitant to begin with. My underwear didn't even match my bra. He didn't seem to notice, though. Once he had everything off but his boxers, he looked at me. My pants were halfway down and I still couldn't stop staring at him. My face felt like it was burning and all I could think about was that I was lucky I shaved pretty recently.
