You awoke to constraints holding you down to a frigid metal chair. Even your head was restrained by the metal monstrosity. You knew you had never been in such a place and yet it felt so familiar, as if a once known soul to you dwelled beyond the walls of your new found cell. The storm troopers that stood guard of your room suddenly cut the small talk, becoming eerily quiet. You knew soon after why, as you felt that powerful darkness seeping through the walls as before, soon smothering you as you heard the large door behind you open with a mechanical hiss. You once again put layers upon layers of protection on the force that swelled around you.
He walked in front of you, his silver and black mask striking little to no intimidation within you.
A man behind a mask is nothing but a man trying to hide.
"Hide," the mans robotic voice seems to say with amusement, "You hid from me until your little rebel friend was captured."
You laughed slightly, you knew he would hear it. You were so concentrated on keeping your true identity hidden that your mind became vulnerable. Such thoughts were not as important to withhold. What he didn't know however was that you could see right into his mind as well, only the surface though, it was practically spilling out of him leaving no need to probe further or he'd recognize what you were. From the surface you could tell he was angry, fueled by it perhaps. He wanted nothing to do with you or Poe, but had to deal with you both regardless. It was as if he was a pouting child. A child, who had a whole lot of power he shouldn't.
He came close to your face, the darkness around him suffocating you fully now, "Where's the map," he questioned in a chilling tone.
"I would nev-" you began, but your retort was cut short by the immediate probing the man attempted on your mind. You held back comfortably. Though there was always a bit of pain, you knew he would not be able to outwit you. He dug further, the pain starting to amass into a furrowed brow upon your forehead. You refused to voice the pain, you kept it in, and kept refusing his entry. You were proud that all the hard work for those many years had come to pay off.
You could tell the man had been angered by your stubbornness, aggravated beyond reason he spit out, "how are you resisting me?" You did nothing but stare right into the eyes of the mask, an imperceptible smile beginning to form on your face. The pain began to become unbearable, but just moment later he cut off his search and stepped back a small ways. "How!" He yelled now coming closer than ever, his gloved hand grasping tightly around your neck.
You choked for air. Resisting any urge to plead, you sat there powerless but resentful until he reluctantly did. You gasped for air, trying your hardest to regain some control. You hadn't let your guard down yet, but that whole experience brought you too close for comfort. You just stared at him, anger written in every crease of your face, with every morsel of anger within you you whispered to him, "you're just a little boy behind a big mask, you don't scare me, coward."
Instantly the man brought his hand to his waist taking out a beautifully crafted hilt. A jolt of energy coursed through the room as he ignited the saber. He began slashing into the wall, melted materials dripping down in red hot streams from the gashes. Soon he turned the blade on you, the searing sound of the sword laying just inches from your head was exhilarating.
"Do not test me girl," he started as he turned the saber off, "I always get what I want."
As he began to exit the room, you smirked, you have found a way out, and would risk it all if it meant saving Poe.
