Chapter 12

It had been days since they entered the soul society and Unmei was becoming annoyed with Yoruichi as she was forced to stay back.

Unmei wasn't one to be kept on a leash and she definitely wasn't someone to just sit around when the people she cared about were getting hurt and right now that is exactly what had been happening. 

Each of the Ryoka except for the cat and wolf had all gotten into fights and Ichigo had been seriously hurt and unmei wanted nothing but to go and help him but instead she was being forced to do nothing about it

"Come on Yorouchi, he just fought a lieutenant and I'm sure he is almost dead by now, i have to go find him and help him" Unmei whines and gets up to leave but Yoruochi steps in front of her

"No. You must stay here" Youruchi says

A loud scream is heard and the ear of both of the animals shoot up and their heads turn in the direction of the scream 

"that was momo" Unmei says in worry and runs past Yorouchi no longer caring if she was going to get scolded.

She was worried about momo and she wasn't going to let anything happen to her. Unmei ran as fast as she could and stopped as her eyes landed on Captain Susoke izien against the wall with his own Zanpukto dug through his chest.

All of the lietanants ran out and began to check on momo in worry but unmei already knew that there was nothing wrong with her and that nobody except momo and herself had noticed the dead captain behind them 

Finally all of the lietanants notice the body and they all began to stare at it in complete shock and fear. None of them moved or new what to do and all momo could do was slowly step towards him, about to collapse as tears roll down her soft, pale cheeks 

"what is all of this racket so early in the morning?" Gin says from behind them, startling all of them and Momo looks up slowly with a look of realization on her face 

everyone turns towards the captain and he begins to talk again " My My, this is quite a terrible situation isn't it?" Gin asks and smiles wickedly 

Momo stares at him for a minute with no expression on her face but her face is than covered in anger and she releases her spiritual pressure "So, it was you" she yells loudly and unsheathed her zanpukto and charges for the captain.

Unmei didn't know what to do she cared for Momo and saw her as a sister whereas she cared for Gin but only saw him as an acquaintance and didn't know him too well even if she had known him for years.

Unmeis mind began to race. Could he really do it? Could Gin really kill captain Izien? Unmei thought that they were close, always sharing looks at each other and chatting quietly amongst themselves, unmei didn't know what to think of the situation that was going on in front of her

Momo goes to strike Ichimaru but her attack is blocked by Kira and Gin continued to sport his notorious wicked grin 

"Kira... Why?" Momo asks in shock and pain 

"Im lieutenant of quad 3" Kira states calmly with a scowl on his face "no matter what the reason is. I can never let anyone raise their sword to my captain"

Momo glares at kira and ichimaru chuckles before turning around and walking off  

"please... get out of my way... Kira" Momo says as she tries to get past him but he continues to stop her

"i cannot" Kira replies 

"move, get out of my way!" Momo yells loudly as the tears continue to run down her face
