story #1: notes

The Records of Enascor.
- Originally named The Chronicles of Enchantum by 11 year old me.
- The very first story I've created.
- Was heavily inspired and based on Harry Potter, PJO, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Rainbow Magic.
- The original draft was really weird. I remember having a yellow notebook wherein I would write every day. Back then, I never broke paragraphs.
- The original story had a giant group of 12 main characters.
- Was originally fairy-oriented and kiddy now it's all magic but with gore 😐👌

There are 3 trilogies (kinda like Star Wars) for the different generations. Working titles:

- The Gray in Between
- Traitor in the Ruins
- The Library of Legacies

- The Crown of Ruzen (this was the original first title)
- A Fugitive of Four
- The Twisted Thorns

- Morose is the Dead
- The Other World
- The Book of Finales

I'm just focusing on the first three for now. I usually write the titles of the book when I begin drafting even though titles should be the last thing in my mind.

Basically, it follows the basic formula of:

The main character/s in school wants a normal life.
+ They were attacked/ they were at the right place at the wrong time.
+ They sneak out of school to go on a quest because their comedic best friend persuaded them to (also because their crush is going too).
+ They go on the quest.
+ They win against the bad guy and save the day.

The story is set in the land of Lithia, which is divided into 3 bordering nations: Ruzen, Marveil, and Enascor. Everyone here uses magic and your power depends on what family and race you are born. It depends on your race because the myths state that the thanes (gods in other words) created these types of people.

Thanes:

- Laurenthia, Thane of Destruction, lady of fire
- Illan, Thane of Creation, lord of water
Their descendants are called Illuenthurian, which are those who mostly control the elements.

- Tiaphora, Thane of Wisdom, lady of wit
Her descendants are called Tiaphurian Mages, who can master nearly every kind of magic consistently.*

- Hagnus, Thane of Darkness, lord of terrors
His children are monsters. They're known as the Hagarans.

- Imantha, Thane of Time, lady of age
Her children are simply known as Imanthurian Witches, and they are quite similar to the Tiaphurians however, they just specialize in one aspect of magic.

- Amara, Thane of Respect, lady of love
They're known as the Amaran Royals, those with her blood can only rule. However, the royal line has been heavily tainted, diluting the pure power of the Amarans.

They are all the children of:

- Lithia, Thane of the World, lady of earth

*Tiaphora and Amara are known to argue frequently, even their children. There have been many wars, leading to the near extinction of the Tiaphurians. There are about 20 remaining.

The main setting of the story is Merzec's Academy for the Gifted (That sounds so original 😂). It's a high school, teaching those affiliated with magic. The school allows you to choose your all 3 of your classes, which are based on the Thanes. The main class is the one you'll obviously focus on.
