poem #5

For JustJiya

Where's the good in "goodbye"?
What's the fun in that?
This pain of cutting amends,
Well, I'll try to give you an exit so grand.

It's hard to hold on,
It's hard to let go.
Like how life is a movie,
We all live and grow.

All the joy and laughter,
All the nonsense to find,
It erases to vivid memory,
Engraved in my mind.

Though all I see is a screen,
You have my gratitude and care,
This farewell is saddening,
I can hardly even bear.

But goodbyes are not always forever,
Maybe we'll cross paths again,
Just like the old times,
But I'll always wonder when.

I'll bid you adieu,
I'll give you a smile,
I'll toast you a glass,
As I wave you goodbye.

I said I will make a free-verse but it became a rhyming poem. 😂😅✌️
