Chapter 1

3rd person's pov

It was a beautiful sunny Tuesday morning and Applejack was up and getting ready for school. She remembered that there was a school dance coming up next weekend and she was excited to go with her friends. All though Twi and Sunset are together and they're probably gonna be together most the time. And Fluttershy is probably gonna be with her brother Big Mac, they're also going out. And pinkie is going out with CheeseSandwich, Rarity was probably gonna go and hang out with her fancy friends, so that leaves it just Rainbow and Applejack, which Aj was okay with because Rainbow Dash was one of her best friends. Honk Honk! Suddenly Applejack snapped out of her thoughts of the dance one she heard someone honking their car outside her window, she looked out to see her Rainbow-haired friend waiting. OH SHOOT!  Rainbow was gonna drive me to school! Aj thought to herself as she got up and got ready as fast as she could, she was scared to make her best friend late for school.. again.

Applejack bid her goodbyes to her family, and went outside to her best friends car. When she opened the door she looked over to see a somewhat annoyed Rainbow Dash.

Aj: " Dash, Ah'm really sorry. Ah woke up late " Applejack apologized to her annoyed Rainbow-haired friend.

Rd: " it's fine Aj, but we're gonna be late. Again! " Rainbow dash shrugged it all off and started the engine. " Mrs.Cheerilee is gonna kill us. " she added before backing out of the farmers drive way.

Aj: " oh well, not mah fault ah woke up late " Aj stood up for herself putting her seatbelt on and crossing her arms.

Rd: " it really is Aj. Start waking up to an alarm. " Rainbow suggested giggling at her blonde-haired friend.

Applejack just rolled her eyes and watched out her window as the two drove to school, Applejack live quite far from the High School like about 20 minuets? But that didn't stop her athletic friend from driving her to school. Aj didn't have a car, or even a driving license, so Rainbow offered to drive her to school some days. So whenever Rainbow Dash is sick it makes it hard for Applejack to get to school, she most likely walks because Dash always tells her when she won't be able to drive her to school.

Once they arrived at CHS they parked in an open parking spot and got out of the car, they walked inside the school side by side talking about the dance.

Aj: " Ah'm actually pretty excited! " Applejack admitted and while her and her beloved best friend were looking at a poster of the upcoming dance.

Rd: " yeah, me too. But I'm not excited to wear a dress. Ugh! I hate dresses. " Rainbow agreed, but added in the fact about her hating dresses. Applejack chucked at the rainbow-haired girls complement about dresses and agreed to it. They both started walking again until..

Their friend with the snowy white skin and purple hair bumped into them.

R: " Why hello darlings! " Rarity greeted the two of them. Rainbow waved at the fashionista and so did Aj.

Aj: " Heya Rare, ya excited for the upcomin' dance? " Applejack asked the fashionista trying to start conversation, because it was really quiet and awkward.

R: " AM I?! Is that even a question! " She shouted back grabbing applejack by her arms shaking her like a maniac.

Rainbow looked at the cowgirl trying to get back on her suddenly she felt two arms rap around her waist she gasped in shock not knowing who it was, until she turned around to attack, she clinched her fist up and turned to face the kidnapper to see it was pinkie.

Rd: " Pinkie! Don't do that, I thought you were some kind of kidnapper that was gonna kidnap me. " Dash admitted while brushing off her torso.

Pp: " oh! Sorry Dashie!! " she giggled, hugging Rainbow Dash again.

Aj: " anyways, as ah was saying. Rarity, why is it that every time we have a dance, yer all excited about it, like- pinkie pie excited. " Applejack asked trying to ignore the interruption of the athlete and the party planner.

Rarity looked over at the cowgirl rather confused? " what ever do you mean darling? " she asked confused in what the farmer meant.

Rd: " she means, your always all hyped up about the dances. And we're just wondering why. " Rainbow clarified, making Rarity understand.

R: " how aren't you guys? I mean think of it! The outfits people wear, the shine, the music, the cute guys~ " Rarity defended her opinion.

Aj: " Rarity. " Applejack said sounding somewhat annoyed.

R: " oh yes, I forgot. Sorry darling. " Rarity apologized to the upset farmer. They all knew Applejack wasn't into guys and was only ever into females. In fact she's only ever had one girlfriend her name is Rara. They've been together for 2 years but sadly broke up after Rara had to move far away from CHS and from town. Aj was pretty heart broken when she left, but Rainbow was there for her and made her feel better! That's partly why they're so close.

Pinkie pie looked at Applejack and put her arm around her shoulder which made Applejack smile a bit. Rarity looked sorry for making her friend upset.

Aj: " heh, thank yah Pinkie, but am okay, really. " Applejack reassured her friends that she was okay obviously none of them believed her expect Pinkie of course.

Rd: " okay, guys we're not at the mall we're in school, and we still got classes. And it's already 9 am class starts at 9:06 am. " Rainbow reminded the three girls before walking down the hallway to her class.

Rainbow and Rarity have math class, and Pinkie has history, Applejack and Sunset have Science, and Twilight and Fluttershy have Social Studies.

- in math class -

R: " I feel bad for what I said to Aj. " Rarity told Rainbow about how she felt guilty.

Rd: " Hey, it'll be okay Rares, Applejack isn't the one to hold grudges, she knows it was a honest mistake. " Rainbow comforted Rarity and her problems, she wrapped her arm around Rarity's shoulder.

( they're not a couple and they don't like each other, Rd is just being her comforting self 😅 anyways back to the story )

They walked into the classroom and sat in their seats, the teacher walked in and looked extremely tired. Rainbow looked behind her where Rarity was sitting and Rarity looked back at Rainbow and Rainbow gave her a warm smile telling her that it'll be okay and Rarity gave a weakly forced smile back.
